Took a short trip to hang with the family for a weekend in Logan. Property was great! Clean, well- maintained and close to plenty of hiking. Would stay again
5 couples got together to have a kids free weekend after basketball season. We enojoyed the cabin very much. Nice quite location with great space. 5 separate bedrooms was awesome but nice large open hang out space too.
My family stayed at the property Christmas Eve and Christmas day. The property was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of room for our family of 6. We all had a great stay. I would book here again in the future. The host should post more pictures to highlight just how nice the property is.
The Double Down is the perfect property for our family. Plenty of room for everyone to be together yet, have their own space when needed. Me, my 3 sons, daughters in law and grandchildren enjoyed turning off this crazy world for a couple days.
We had a great time at the Double Down. We played shuffleboard and cards, soaked in the hot tub and had a great time catching up with my high school buddies. We also enjoyed the restaurants in Logan and caught some of the local sights.
A great home to base operations.
We had a great time at Double Down. Unfortunately the day of our trip, my husband was in a car accident and his car was totaled. We were going to cancel, but he was OK and we went. We had a great time with our 4 adult kids. The place was clean, well equipped with kitchen items and just gorgeous.
The only issue with the cabin was the Wi-do. It was so poor we couldn’t have a family movie night on Netflix or anything streaming.
The place was spotless and the location is great. I just wish they could fix the WiFi.
Very clean and beautiful. Driveway was challenging. Called the office because one car couldn't make it up . They directed to another place for them to park. A bit inconvenient, but it worked out. Close to the caves .
We were all very happy and would stay again.
We loved the house and location. The home was clean, accommodations were just as advertised and the beds were super comfortable. Only notes would be to pay attention to some of the details to make guests' stay a little easier like containers or cooking spray in the kitchen. Also, the house has a hot tub but it was set at 70 degrees when we got there. We were there 2 nights and it took more than 12 hrs to heat up to 99 degrees and be warm enough as a hot tub. It would have been nice for that to be set for us to be able to use on our first night. And the lights out by the hot tub do not work & it's pitch black out there at night. So a few of the finer details were missed but all in all, this is a great house.
Everything was absolutely wonderful. It was clean, well stocked, communication with the hosts was timely and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is more pictures of the property in the listing it was so much better than we anticipated the hot tub was so nice (and clean) the kitchen always better than we thought it would be and the dining table should definitely be pictured! We will go back.
They aren’t kidding- the driveway is STEEP! The post doesn’t have a ton of pictures so I wanted to share the layout- Main floor with comfy, large couch (TV was a bit glitchy), spacious kitchen/eating area, two queen bedrooms and one full bath with tub right off kitchen. Top floor is one room only the king master with full bath/standing shower. Lowest level is spacious with entertaining area (TV worked great). Two queen bedrooms on lowest level (felt secluded away from the main area) with full bath with tub. Hot tub is outside of lowest level and felt very clean. Multiple somewhat steep steps to get into the house in the front. Great location, would stay here again!
Wonderful and beautiful stay! They even reached out the evening we arrived to ensure everything was going well. What a great experience! We will be back!
We had a group of friends for a 2 night getaway and this place could not have been any better!! Beautiful, clean, huge, and everything you need! Had no idea what to really expect because there are not many photos listed and it truly exceeded our expectations. Yes the driveway is a bit steep even with 4WD , we got some beautiful snow the next day but had no issues getting down or up even with the snow. Had no issues with WIFI whatsoever. Would love to come back in the summertime to enjoy the beautiful decks and some hiking. Thanks for making our stay one to always remember. 10/10!!!!
Comes as advertised. Steep drive and stairs. Spacious, clean rooms. Plenty of towels! We had eight and managed cooking three meals with the kitchen goods. We used the hot tub but couldn’t fit in the fire pit. Highly recommend for large group. We all fit on the couch and enjoyed game nights. Spa and Inn helped with lunch reservations.
The Double Down Lodge was very nice and clean. It's beautiful!! We were very impressed. However, only the upstairs master bedroom had a king size bed. The other four bedrooms had queen, possibly full size beds. Very misleading. The property list three king size beds and two queen size beds. We were very disappointed with this. Blackjack Road is very narrow, NO room for errors. Once you reach the house don't blink or you'll miss the SHARP and SUDDEN left turn into the very steep, gravel driveway. As listed, you will definitely need an AWD drive vehicle. Overall, we had a good time and would stay here again. By the way, Dawn, the host/contact person is really nice and helpful.
We stayed here with a big group and absolutely loved it! The cabin is super spacious, clean, and full of fun features that made our weekend unforgettable. The basement was hands-down our favorite spot—we spent most of our time down there playing games, hanging out, and pretending we were professional bartenders behind the awesome bar setup! The hot tub was a total hit—clean, relaxing, and perfect after a long day of hiking or just lounging. The amenities were great, and the rooms were cozy and comfortable (though we all agreed the pillows could use a little upgrade—bring your own if you're picky!).A couple of things to keep in mind:The driveway is VERY steep, especially if it’s rainy or icy, so heads up for those driving lower vehicles. We’d recommend the host adding a few photos to show what to expect! The front steps are a little tricky for anyone with low mobility—not impossible, but worth knowing ahead of time. When we arrived, the house was hot—it took a while to cool down, so we’d suggest giving the AC a head start if you're arriving on a warm day.But truly, those were small things compared to how much we loved our stay. It’s the kind of place you book for a weekend and wish you could stay a week. Tons of space for everyone, great layout, and just a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Would 100% come back—and probably will!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The cabin was nice. Plenty of blankets, cookware, towels. Our problems started upon our arrival. It had snowed and the steep driveway was covered. The first 2 vehicles made it up fine. But that packed it down and turned into a sheet of ice. We had 4 wheel drive vehicles driven by experienced drivers who have traveled in snow and ice due to their jobs. Also, my son lives in the Great Lakes region and deals with these conditions all the time. We had vehicles sliding down the driveway. My brother fell. We got him into cabin. I notified the hosts and was told maid service and maintenance went up the driveway with no issues. Yes. But the vehicles driving over it packed it down. They said there was not anything else they could do. I sent another message and was basically told the same thing and that if my brother was injured I needed to call emergency squad. How they would have been able to get up there I don’t know. My brother’s foot is broken and it tore the ligaments. I have verification of this. They finally did send a guy to put grit on it that evening. Their responses made it sound like we were lying. Also, the basement was freezing and there was an odor that smelled like sewer. We let that go because they would have responded the same way they did about the icy driveway. We were very disappointed with the responses. Basically our vacation was not what we expected.
