While the owner ’s pontoon is not for guest use, guests can launch their own boats from any public launch on Lake Wisconsin and tie up to the owner’s private dock (guests should make sure that their boat fits under the low clearance bridge between Okee Bay and Lake Wisconsin – tri-toons do not fit, and pontoons are challenging; guests should research this before bringing their boats).
In addition to enjoying the lake, explore the nearby Ice Age National Trail and/or Devil’s Lake State Park for hiking, stunning views, and recreational activities. Take the short-cut on the historic Merrimac Ferry, which is only 3.6 miles away and generally operates 24/7 from April through November and sometimes December, weather permitting. Treat yourself to Super-Premium Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream at the Ferry Landing Concessions on the opposite side of the lake, on your way to or back from your outdoor adventures. Another recommended stop on the Merrimac side of the lake is the Tumbled Rock Brewery for craft cocktails, wood-fired pizzas and other good food as well as more live music.
For winter outdoor enthusiasts, both Cascade Ski Resort and Devil’s Head Ski Resort, which features a golf course in the summer that turns into a cross-country ski trail in the winter, are just a short drive away.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
