"I loved everything about my stay here; comfortable and clean accommodations, beautiful grounds, an on-site stables with many lovely rescued horses, wonderful restaurant inside the lodge, and a very welcoming and helpful staff. "I’ve never seen such a dirty room. Hair everywhere in the bathroom. Lord knows what all over the wall. The room smelled like mold. Dust and grim everywhere. I don’t know where the good reviews come from on the app but they are untrustworthy. Barely slept all night I was afraid I was going to see bugs. We didn’t dare to eat breakfast because of how dirty everything was. If there had been anything else available we would have definitely left!!!!!!"

"The room was clean. The bed was somewhat comfy. Pillows not so much. Very minimalistic, no coffee pot, fridge and microwave stacked in the corner. But for the price, I would stay again."

"As a man in my fifties who has traveled for a living, this is the single worst stay I have ever had the displeasure of being involved with. Clearly , the red roof franchising agreement is not being adhered to. The franchisee operating this location has put it in shambles.It is a disgusting property that is not fit for payment, let alone public use. I would be more than happy to give somebody a detailed description of the filthy moldy non working ice machine, the leaks coming from the ceiling , the filthy shower and toilet amenities and the roaches that were crawling on our belongings. If I Do not hear a response, I will pursue this, as I had planned, from a corporate standpoint, making sure that all Marketing and Operations departments understand the lackluster and disgusting state of operations in your Culpepper, Virginia, location."
