"Great holiday cottage, very well equipped and comfortable. We had a lovely week. Underfloor heating is if anything too efficient, we were never cold! We wondered if the heating schedule needs looking at, the heating was coming on at some random times, and the individual thermostats aren’t the most intuitive to work, so the downstairs bedroom was roasting. But you can always open a window! Be warned, this cottage is pretty remote, 7 miles on single track road from the main Dunvegan road, then another 1/2 mile down a track to the house itself, which sits on a raised site above the track. We were very lucky with getting a glorious week in February, but had there been any snow or ice, then I reckon you might need a 4 x 4 to get there. And watch out for the Skye potholes!"

"This is no ordinary pod. It is beautifully presented with so much thought given to it's furnishing. I didn't expect to find a wine fridge or induction hob, but there they were. The towels are luxurious and the toiletries are classy. There are even pods provided for the Nespresso machine! The fridge is stocked with essentials, and even some non-essential treats. Just as importantly, I was given a proper warm welcome on arrival. I loved my stay here. PS The eggs were delicious."

"This was a nice place to stay, very clean and had everything we needed. We loved how isolated it is, and it had great views of the stars. The description is misleading/wrong though. You do not get a whole cottage to yourself. It it more of a duplex where the host lives on one side of the building. It says to get keys from the neighbor which we assumed was a different house, but its not and the actual neighbor is quite annoyed that people keep showing up asking for keys. So when you show up, you get keys from Bobby who lives in the other section of the building. Bobby was great, but the description needs to be updated. "

"It was a wonderful trip and the Croft House was an excellent location. The rental was comfortable, clean, cozy and well equipped. I highly recommend the Croft House for a stay on the Isle of Skye. "

"This house is in a great position with wonderful views. It is very spacious and has everything you need. It was spotless and has good drying facilities for those wet days that can happen! Great for beach walks and bird watching from the house. We would like to return."

"We had many troubles with our stay, from vrbo, to cottages.com (who represent the property) to the actual property owner.The good news is that we enjoyed the area. The house was quaint. Low ceilings (which we often bumped our heads on at night). The place was cute in a rural area we enjoyed.The bad news1) we (my fault) booked one more night than we needed. We fully booked 1 month prior to arriving, and when we contacted Cottages.com they said we were too close to the checkin date to alter the reseration.2) why were we contacting Cottages.com and not VRBO ? Because the VRBO chat tool to contact the host gave us errors everytime we messaged the host. Telling us our email address was wrong. Pardon ? I changed the email address, that didn't help. Then I called VRBO on the phone (because their bot chat was completely unhelpful). The representative assured me we would not have further problems, and the checkin instructions would arrive prior to our arrive.3) the checkin instructions did not arrive. This time I called Cottages.com myself (avoided VRBO). After 30 minutes on the phone, Cottages emailed me directly the checkin directions.4) the next morning, as we got ready to explore The Isle Of Skye, we could not lock the front door - door lock was not functioning. I txted the actual owner about the lock, 1 week later have not had a reply.I would avoid this place unless you feel comfortable facing the same issues we did."

"The cottage was perfect....clean, cosy, excellent information in the cottage eg lights labelled, instructions for all appliances etc. Felted artwork beautiful. Yoh can see and feel the care and attention that has been put into making it a lovely place to stay.Good location for exploring outer islands ie close to ferry ports. "
