"Really enjoyed our stay at The Grey Gull Hotel. The hotel is a little dated in places, but our room was clean and spacious with a nicely renovated bathroom. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, including with our dog. Food was tasty and reasonably priced too. Great value for money and we’d stay again."

"We just had an amazing 5 nights at clam shell. The location is just stunning, a fantastic place to relax. The pub being so close is perfect too, we ate there twice and absolutely delicious food. The lodge itself needs some updating, when we arrived parts hadn’t been cleaned very well, however we didn’t let this ruin our stay I just gave it a quick clean. The beds are very comfy! The kitchen is well equipped. We would definitely return and would recommend to anyone wanting to experience total peace and beautiful nature. Our dogs did pick up some ticks while there though - which I suppose is part of staying in this sort of location. However I think a first aid kit in the lodge including a tick remover would be helpful along with the contact details of a local vets etc. All round we had a great time and this place is wonderful! "

"Lovely clean dog friendly room. Would benefit from some details on the resort ie dog walks or local attractions. The hotel is remote, we had planned to get there by the ferry but this was not running and had to drive, not the best roads as not a single track fan. We would stay again "

"There was a very damp and musty smell in the hall and bathroom. The vegetation surrounding the cabin was overgrown so the outside felt oppressive rather than having a clear view of the Loch as per the advertisement. The wall glazing needs cleaning. The owner kindly supplies a huge amount of logs stored outside. Half of them disappeared during our stay which made us feel insecure as we felt it may be a local resident. ( Not really anyone else passing) Despite all this, the cabin was warm, extremely comfortable with everything you need in the kitchen, and we loved walking around and down to the Loch with our little dog / venturing further afield. Beautiful area."
