"We had a good stay, wouldn't return. Weekend breakfast timing is 0800-1000 but we were offered 0700-0900 as the only people in the hotel and the owner had other plans. We asked for 0830 and he put 0800. Later we asked for closer to 0900 and we were told that not possible, we saw them drive off after serving breakfast. The room was good, loose floor tiles in bathroom and only one bath mat despite a shower and separate bath. No snacks and poor selection of hot drinks in the room. Hotel is clearly dated with thin walls and doors, we could hear music in the kitchen in the morning. Difficult to get to plug sockets. Lovely quiet location and Llandrindod is not far away. "

"Extremely pleasant and accommodating staff. Room was clean and warm as was the en-suite. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of various tea and coffee sachets available in addition to milks and sweeteners etc. Breakfast was freshly cooked to liking. Although I had no problem parking, the car park is small with limited street parking opposite, which potentially could be an issue during busy periods. Overall, staying at The Talbot was an excellent experience. "
