"Ameika checked us in, and she could not have been any sweeter! She gave us a rundown of the great amenities, including a hot tub, free laundry facilities, free s’more kits for the many fire-pits, and more. We stayed in one of the well outfitted cabins. It was clean, modern, and cozy - complete with a kitchen, books, and a couple of TV’s. Perfect for a longer stay and perfect for the one day of our late season trip where it rained and snowed. We definitely will return. "

"Great room, comfy bed, train noise not so bad. Parking is a chore. Staff was really great about helping us old folks ride the elevator to 3rd floor!!! Very friendly place and the Murray Bar is fantastic!"

"It was older which we knew coming in, rooms are super nice and redone for being an older motel. Everything seemed to be clean, beds were super comfortable. My only complaints are: there is no one ever at the front, you have to call if you need anything, we arrived a little over 30 minutes before our check-in time and we were told we couldn’t check in unless we paid a $24 check in fee. We have stayed in a lot of motels over the last few years and I have NEVER had one tell me I had to pay an early check in fee. There was someone behind us wanting to check in too and he asked what was happening. When I told him he was very frustrated as well because he too was coming to check in. I understand if there aren’t rooms ready yet, but to charge a check in fee because they didn’t want to come check us in a little early seemed insane. Also the only thing out to eat for breakfast was waffles and 2 kinds of cereal. As someone who has food allergies, it was a little frustrating there wasn’t some kind of fruit or something. Everything in the kitchen area was very clean and kept up though. "

"Gave high ratings because it far surpassed our expectations based on the photos on the booking site we used. Our room had clearly been updated since those photos. Very comfortable bed, friendly staff, new air conditioner, and next to a charming downtown area."
