There were two local taverns within walking distance that had amazing food made by local families. We grabbed groceries in Kissamos after flying into Chania, which is what we would recommend since the larger grocery stores are there and we were able to stock up on some food, since there really aren’t any close grocery stores other than small minimarts. "For us, it was perfect! Our villa was secluded and not overlooked by the others in the complex. We were not aware of anyone else around. We also had beautiful views of the wild coastline and could enjoy the sunsets every evening. Help was available immediately with anything we needed, from a lovely couple who looked after the property .
