"Borgo del Sol was just as advertised. We enjoyed our stay in the quiet countryside and the pool was an lovely amenity. Any request we made to Luce, our host, was replied to immediately. There were mosquitoes in the room...be prepared with spray or even if the hotel provided nets it would have helped a lot. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax in a quiet, quaint atmosphere. Lots of things to see and do within a 10 minute drive."

"We arrived at the house and Massimo showed us the apartment that we were to stay in. At first it looked big enough but after a day we realised that it only had a bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a kitchen leading out onto a yard that had table and chairs, washing machine and a shower area. "Unfortunately, our stay was a little disappointing. Palazzo Columbo is an annex, away from all the hotel’s facilities, which was not made clear on either Expedia or the hotel’s own website. I’m also not convinced we received the room category we booked. The room had a broken toilet seat, and given the annex has only four rooms, basic amenities like a kettle and coffee maker should be provided. Breakfast was very underwhelming with tiny portions and poor quality a limit of three items, and even fresh juice costing an extra €5. It simply wasn’t good value. Service was inconsistent throughout. At check-in, I was incorrectly told I had booked room only, despite having paid for breakfast. At checkout, my request for help with luggage down a spiral staircase was reluctantly made because staff were busy, making reasonable requests feel like an inconvenience. The main buildings are beautiful, but the overall experience didn’t live up to the property’s appearance."
