Licqus: COTTAGE 'SOLITUDE'

The cottage 'La Solitude is located in the heart of the 3 countries in the middle of the triangle Boulogne-sur-Mer, Calais, Saint-Omer.
With a capacity of 5 to 7 people you can come as a couple, family or friends ...
Its fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, combination microwave oven, hob and storage space) is open to the living room (fully equipped with large table, sofa bed with sleeping, TV, DVD player, internet access) which overlooks the private terrace not overlooked, with barbecue, chairs and access to our private wood all in a divine calm ...
Upstairs you have a bedroom with 2 seats which gives access to a second bedroom with a bed for 2 and 1 single bed (cot available and high chair at no extra charge). The rooms have wardrobes, dressers and a computer desk.
The bathroom is on the ground floor with toilet, sink, large shower and washing machine.

It is possible to accommodate hikers because we have a key to closing local store for bicycles.

Upon request we offer rental of linen:
adornment sheets: 6 euros.
lot towels (bath towel, towel, glove): 4 euros.

Weekend package: sheets and cleaning included, beds made on arrival.

A CLEANING PACKAGE IS INCLUDED IN ALL OUR RATES.

A very handy pit-stop

The cottage was a very welcomed pit stop for us after a long day driving from Germany. No doubt it would also provide a lovely longer holiday stay.

Beautiful place

We spent only one night on our way to catch the channel train, but wished we could have had more time at this lovely newly renovated home. Very comfortable and everything we needed. The half bath listed was not there which was difficult for our group of 6, but the drive in was lovely and Chantal was very accommodating and friendly.

Overview

External - parking inadequate, access to property only from one direction. Internal - toilet only flushed intermittently, water pressure in shower weak, TV did not work in either English or French throughout our stay. Staircase - bannister rail insecure and therefore dangerous and unsuitable for less mobile older guests. We would book a holiday with Vrbo again, but not at this property.

The ideal world for us.

La Solitude provides exactly that. My wife, dog and I had a superbly relaxing and comfortable stay in a gite which is well-equipped and decorated in style. The garden and woodland were perfect for our little dog and totally secluded for us with amazing countryside views from the decking. We also hadn't realised just how pretty the Pas de Calais is when you are not tearing down the A16 or A26 and just how many interesting places there are. Added to this is the warmth of welcome you get from Chantal and her family who were most friendly and helpful (and generous with their rhubarb, delicious home-made jam and chocolate madeleines!). Many, many thanks. We have no doubt that we have discovered a little gem here and we are already planning our next visit which will hopefully be for even longer than the fortnight we just enjoyed so much.

Petit gîte sympa

C'est un endroit que nous recommandons. Nous y avons été très bien accueillis et la propriétaire, Madame Marcotte est très sympathique et à notre écoute. Le gîte est bien équipé et la terrasse, avec beaucoup de terrain, est très reposante; c'est entièrement clôturé. Nous y étions avec notre chien, et celui-ci pouvait entrer-sortir à sa guise. Le petit centre commercial est à 10 min. à pied, pratique !

Ce gîte est situé dans un endroit magnifique dans l' intérieur splendide de la Côte d'Opale. Tout le nécessaire est là et fonctionne correctement. Le grand jardin clos a été une révélation pour notre jeune boxer. Nous avons passé un bon séjour !

Nous avons passé un weekend très agréable. Accueil chaleureux et jolie maison. Le jardin est super , spacieux et ombragé. Le gîte n'est pas très loin de la côte, ce qui permet de pouvoir accéder facilement a la mer.

We arrived late in the afternoon tired from a long day. We were greeted by a kind, wonderful host. The home has everything we would need and was immaculately clean. It is situated in the back of the property of the home owner surrounded by trees and nature. Beautiful home, beautiful area and beautiful hostess. We were only there for 1 night to get the ferry but would love to return. Thank you!

Zum Erholen wie geschaffen.

Schönes Haus mit wundervollem großen Garten. Für Hunde optimal! Draußen frühstücken, super. In der Umgebung schöne Wanderrouten und bis zur Küste ist es nicht weit. Nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist Carrefour, ca. 800 m entfernt, mit Tankmöglichkeit. Hat auch Sonntags geöffnet. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt. Die Vermieterin ist wirklich nett. Wir können es empfehlen.
