Our stay at Chateau Bonalgue was excellent. The room was lovely and comfortable, shared living space gorgeous and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Very sweet room with view over the vineyard. Staff was welcoming and arranged a short-term tour and tasting complementary. Breakfast was amazing with homemade jam and honey, as well as high-quality bread. Additionally, location is great (central, but feels remote). Real gem for the price!
The stay was perfect! Quiet place, extremely clean, friendly and helpful reception, great breakfast. Nothing to be added to improve this marvelous experience

Excellent place for a quiet getaway and it’s a plus if you enjoy good wine!
Great property set within its own vineyards, use of the full kitchen if you require, lovely welcome from staff, wine tasting and full tour quantity bedding,10 minutes drive to st emillion, home from home
Château Bonalgue was extremely convenient to all sorts of destinations. Very clean and well maintained. It is set between vineyards and fields. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.
Hôtel conveniently located in the middle of Pomerol vineyards, has knowledge and friendly staff. Room has all the amenities you need , and you also can use shared kitchen. We took a toor and wine tasting ( book it ahead of time), and really enjoyed it.
Sadly we only spent one night here and had to leave very early in the morning. Beautiful accommodation, spotlessly clean and warm and welcoming hosts. We got to do a wine tasting and ordered some of the delicious wine to be shipped to us. Took our own food (wine and cheese and bread) and we’re able to use the kitchen to prepare it all. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you.
A beautiful Chateau with beautiful rooms overlooking the vineyard. The people are very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed an informative tour with wine tasting, highly recommended even if you are not staying here. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Furthermore, as a guest you can use the facilities in the kitchen and living room all day long or enjoy it outside on the terrace by the vineyard. Discovering the area by bike is great fun. Many good restaurants within cycling distance.
We loved everything about Château Bonalgue and only wish our stay was much longer. We felt welcomed and at home from the very first minute. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable and the living/breakfast room is warm, bright and beautiful. Guests can use the kitchen. The breakfast of pastries, yogurt, etc. was delicious and the wine tasting was a special treat. If we return to the region we would consider basing here. It’s simple to get to St. Emilion by car or taxi or to Bordeaux and many other destinations by train.
Unfortunately the experience in the room is poor as we stayed on two nights of unseasonally hot days of mid 30s. Our room faces west and there was no air conditoning. Thebhotels effort to put ina portable air con did not help and was way too noisy. The rest of the property ia great. Recommendation - do request no west facing room.
I was so disappointed I did not get the room I reserved with a tub inside the room. The room I got had an odd shower & the staff tried to justify it by providing a bottle wine which only cost like 15 euros. Expedia needs to do better at securing the right room that was paid for at a much higher rate for such amenities. What helped this property is that it’s beautiful surroundings & tasty wine!
Aamiainen ok. Lähimpään kylään kävelee 20-30 minuuttia (myös rautatieasemalle). Majoitustiloissa ei ravintolaa. Sunnuntai aamupalatarpeet laitettu jääkaappiin huonekohtaisesti erikseen. Henkilökunta paikalla rajoitetuin ajoin. Olisin kaivannut enemmän viiniin ja viinitilaan liittyvää palvelua, toki pieni maistelu tilan viineistä järjestyi.
