People were absolutely awesome at the Good Place B&B. I felt so welcomed during my entire stay, from checking in to check in out and every breakfast in between, which were great and delicious by the way. A great place to spend a few days away in nature, but a close drive to many historic locations and natural attractions in the area. The rooms amenities could use some improvement (new towels and linen come to mind). Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

The property provided us with a lot of space and privacy, which was ideal for what we were needing. However, the property was not kept up (e.g. doors didn't open and close well) or cleaned in a way I would expect from a Bed and Breakfast. If you want a rustic space, and can overlook a few things, this could be a good space for you. The massive deck was clearly a nice benefit as well.

It was a very peaceful and scenic setting. Our suite had a nice layout with rustic decor. Our host Justin was so kind and friendly. We hated to leave.
It was nice and secluded, We loved the country charm, all the reclaimed wood makes the building very unique. Modern amenities like flat screens and DirecTV make the later evening quite pleasant. We enjoyed the outside sitting areas and all the lights strung up. Justin was so helpful and accommodating, we came in late and they treated us like we had been there all night! Everything was super clean, breakfast was AMAZING with eggs cooked to order and almost everything on the table from either this farm or nearby farms!
We can't wait to go back to the farm when we have a full weekend, so much to do there, I had to drag my wife away from the baby chickens so we could go to VMI. 10 minute drive to downtown Lexington, you can see the "I" from the balcony on the farm.
I whole heartily recommend Justin and Good Place Farms, no place feels more like your momma's home than this place!
Very outdated. Hosts weren't there when we got there. All rooms unlocked. Wife came home, walked by us did not speak. Room I had paid for and reserved not available. The hosts were staying in it. Air conditioning was a portable unit. No soap, shampoo, conditioner in room. No cups . No coffee. Not clean. Trash in cupboards. Breakfast the next day to be at 8am. 7:55 no one cooking, Kitchen a big mess, dirty dishes everywhere. Didn't feel comfortable eating there so we left. Would like a full refund!
We had a wonderful weekend visiting our VMI Cadet, and I can't imagine a better place to have spent it than at Good Place Farms Bed & Breakfast. It's such a beautiful, serene atmosphere, where you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, yet right at home at the same time. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are spotless & cozy, and the attention to detail & customer service are world-class. Looking forward to returning!
Definitely a cool getaway. Had a very high end cabin feel. Washer/dryer, stove, and fridge and two deprecate bedrooms. The scenery of the mountains in the background is beautiful. Full direct tv so plenty of channels to choose from. WiFi as well.
The place is great and the breakfast was very delicious and farm-made. My kids, age between 9-2, enjoyed the farm as well. The animals were very cute and good experience for my kids. The nature around is fun and very relaxing.
Awesome owners and amazing hospitality. The views are beautiful and so calming. My little one loved the chance to help out on the farm and has already asked when we are coming back :)
We enjoyed the outdoor spaces: hammocks, firepit, and the kids loved visiting the farm animals and getting their eggs for breakfast. The owners were so friendly and helpful!
I loved the personal feel and being on the farm. It felt very warm and welcoming. However, the shower did not have hot water, and it was not a good place to have to get ready for an event because there were no mirrors in the rooms.
BEWARE, This property was over booked for the weekend we PRE-PAID for months in advance. It was a bait and switch scam. We where placed in another property the was "renovated" and clearly was not. Words can not describe the accomodations & disappointment with this establishment and the advantage taken over several families that booked this property for a busy weekend at VMI. The other property to be ware of is the Lexington INN.
Good Farms is rustic but the space is very comfortable and the scenery terrific. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. Saturday breakfast was delicious, though we were surprised not to find breakfast prepared on Sunday morning. We may have missed some information. Because Good Farms is so far out and the owners not on premises, a quick email to guests just in advance of their stay with information about Good Farms would likely help considerably. We wish Justin and Olivia all the best in their endeavors as they are the kind of B&B hosts one hopes for!

If you are looking for a unique, secluded bed and breakfast with a fantastic view, then try Good Farms. The young couple in charge went out of their way to please, even helping with a 70th birthday dinner. We were the only guests which probably accounted for the extra attention to details.
The customer service was great! Has a wonderful family feel to it. We got dinner there our first night and hands down the best meal we have ever had!! Kid friendly and my 2yo granddaughter loved it and all the animals just in walking distance! We will stay again when we go back to the area!!!!
Wife and I was traveling from Mena, Arkansas to Somersworth, New Hampshire to visit an old Army friend. We'd stopped to see the local museums from the Civil War and grabbed a bite to eat- excellent salad! Highly recommend. Didn't spend the night however so it's a 3

I have mixed feelings about our stay. Pros: the owners were very nice and personable. They made sure to let us know that if we had any questions, their home was right down the driveway. We had access to their kitchen, they kept breakfast out all day and we had access to snacks. Cons: this was our first experience at a B&B so I didn’t know what to expect.... I was extremely jet lagged when we arrived and forgot to get important details like information about check-out, the WiFi code, housekeeping and such. It would have been nice to have that type of information posted somewhere in the room. I live in a state that averages between 10% - 15% humidity. I wasn’t prepared for the 80% that we encountered. While there was a very small, tabletop air conditioning unit, it would have been wonderful to have one on each bedside table so each person could feel it. It’s kind of silly, but the thing that bothered me the most about our stay was that half of the light fixtures in our room didn’t have lightbulbs. During the day it was fine but as soon as it got dark outside, the room had very little light. We requested extra bulbs but did not receive them.
We loved IT! Thanks a lot for gread days. A great start with a very good breakfast every day, nice people, beautiful rooms, a lot to see on the farm anderen a lot to see at the are
We loved our brief visit at Good Place Farms Bed and Breakfast. The view was amazing, the service excellent, and the food delicious. Hope to return next time we're in the area!
Great place, secluded yet only minutes from Lexington. Huge rooms. Olivia and Justin are top-notch hosts, bending over backwards to make sure we were happy and all our needs were met. Would stay again and highly recommend to anyone.
