"We enjoyed another great stay at the Verdie May house. The cottage has become an anticipated annual home away from home for us as we stay here each summer on an annual trip to Lewisburg. The house is perfect for us. The porch cannot be beat! We enjoy walking all over downtown, taking strolls through the neighborhood, going to the fair and so forth. Elinor is wonderful and we cannot wait to come back next year."

"This was such a beautiful property. Me and my friends were in town for a wedding and we rented this listing for a weekend. It was about 15 min from downtown Lexington which was great. My friends would sit outside in the morning to look out at the view with their coffees plus the fire pit was a lot of fun. There were chickens, donkeys, and cows we looked at and there was a note inside that if we wanted to get up close with the chickens to let them know. Wish we had done that. 10/10 though!"

"We visited New River Gorge for my son's senior trip. He loves to fish so we wanted to stay close to the water. This home was perfect! The river was just across the road with easy access. The house was as described and had everything we needed for a comfortable 5 night stay. The host was wonderful and quickly responded to my questions. We loved our time on the New River!"

"A cute little cabin in a good location for our needs. Many things to do all over the place from the cabin. There is road noise both from Interstate 64 and from Midland Trail on both sides of the property, but it wasn't bothersome. To sleep and in the evenings was the only time spent at the cabin, so much to see around the area. Overall, we had a very nice six night stay."

We stayed here while exploring the New River Gorge and had a simple check in/ out process, stayed in a brand new cabin (so new there was still packaging materials on the lamps) and were even able to use the pool once.
