  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

La Partoucie is a fantastic property and set in the most beautiful grounds. We spent most of the time outdoors where there is ample space to sit in the shade or to relax in the pool. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay.

Semaine parfaite en famille

Nous avons passé une super semaine en famille à 9 avec mes grands enfants (entre 18 et 24), leurs compagnons et ma dernière fille de 12 ans et une de ses amies. Le château était très agréable, tranquille, propre. Il est aussi spacieux pour pouvoir s'isoler si on veut ou être ensemble dans de grandes pièces ou dans le parc. Le parc et la piscine aussi sont très bien entretenus. En 7 minutes en voiture on a tout ce qu'il faut à Confolens. Jeanine est très accueillante, attentionnée et répond très rapidement. Elle nous a donné de bonnes informations sur les activités et commodités aux alentours. Nous avons pu notamment faire du canoë à Confolens et des visites de sites historiques majeurs à 30 / 40 minutes de voiture. Il y a pas mal de randonnées, chemins, forêts tout autour et à partir du château. Cette semaine a plu à tout le monde et nous reviendrons si l'occasion se présente !

Un weekend de rêve

Le lieu est idéal pour un grand groupe. La maison est très grande, les chambres spacieuses, plusieurs salle de bain et WC, la cuisine fonctionnelle. Nous avons tout fait en vélo au départ du gîte ( course sur Confolens, resto en bord de Vienne)...un véritable plaisir ! Les propriétaires sont accueillants et discrets... On y retournera certainement ! Merci a vous

Un séjour agréable mais perfectible, un peu cher pour les prestations sur place !

La Partoucie est en réalité une demeure de maître, le lieu est plein de charme, les chambres ont de très beaux volumes et la piscine est bien exposée avec un ombrage naturel très agréable. J'aurais aimé savoir avant de louer que les propriétaires vivent sur place au fond du jardin, nous ne nous y attendions pas. Ils sont cependant discrets. En revanche si le lieu a bien du charme , est paisible, les équipements laissent à désirer. Il n'y a pas de robot culinaire (alors que la maison peut accueillir 14 personnes), pas de grille-pain , un four à gaz qui fait un peu peur et pas de TV. La propriétaire m'avait dit avoir quand même un téléviseur et j'avais demandé s'il y avait une prise HDMI puisqu'elle disait qu'internet fonctionnait bien . En réalité le poste doit avoir 30 ans avec une connectique ancienne à fiches jaune et rouge, elle a cherché pour nous un autre poste (encore ancien mais moins) que nous avons eu le mardi. Mon époux a été agacé qu'on lui réponde que les personnes qui louent ne regardent pas la télévision, viennent faire des retraites de yoga et se contentent de leur ordinateur. Nous travaillons pour notre part dans le monde audiovisuel et aimons voir quelques films en famille et avoir cette possibilité. Généralement quand on loue ces équipements de base sont présents, draps et linge de lit ont connu des jours meilleurs et internet ne fonctionne pas partout. Cela reste joli mais perfectible, un peu cher pour un confort relatif.

Merveilleux !

Le château de la Partoucie est idéal pour passer des vacances entre amis au vert, au repos. Le cadre est magnifique et la maison très agréable à utiliser pour des grands nombres. Nous recommandons à 100%. Par ailleurs, nos hôtes étaient d’une extrême gentillesse et très accommodant.

Mooi,robuust en stijlvol ingericht. We waren met z'n eleven. Van baby tot gepensioneerd. Genoten enorm van het huis, de open haard en alle ruimte er omheen, de veldjes en niet te vergeten het zwembad . Leuke stadjes bezocht al met al

Propriété top, grande, agréable avec des espaces à vivre pour tous. Un peu froid au rez de chaussée mais c'est normal pour un vieux château! Les propriétaires sont très gentils et très accueillants, nous nous sommes vite senti comme chez nous. Piscine fraîche mais en plein soleil, rendant le tout très agréable. Vraiment un beau séjour entre amis. Accro au net pensez à votre clé 4G, le réseau et internet ne sont pas au top dans la belle campagne!

Tolles Urlaubsobjekt für eine große Familie

Ein sehr schönes, stilvolles Haus mit freundlichen Vermietern in guter Lage und vielen Möglichkeiten, um sich sportlich zu betätigen oder Sehenswürdigkeiten zu bewundern. Supermärkte, Bäcker sowie Restaurants sind in der Nähe, Hunde sind kein Problem. Es war ein wunderbarer Urlaub für unsere Familie.

Had a lovely 3 weeks here

We booked a long break to celebrate the end of exams with our teens and friends. The house worked really well. Lots of bedrooms, scope for re arranging, sense of space with high ceilings and lots of outdoor space with different eating areas to mix it up a bit. Table tennis was a big hit. Jeanine and Wim who live very discreetly at the rear of the site have a fine eye for design and the house has many lovely old pieces and light fittings. It’s very charming and to a good standard. It hasn’t got every mod con but we didn’t miss much. It’s a space for sharing meals, reading and relaxing. The local area isn’t very touristy. Jeanine is incredibly helpful, taking orders for the visiting baker and advice on activities. Eating out options are a bit limited but that wasn’t an issue for us. Fantastic kayaking both at Confolens and Vertueil sur Charente. Local producers’ market in the evenings evey fortnight very enjoyable. Limoges airport within an hour’s drive. The pool was a good size. It is gated off. Our Cockapoo was made welcome and she had room to roam and there was plenty of shade.

Meditationsworkshop , in grosszügigen Räumen und wunderbarer Parkanlage!

La Partoucie eignete sich hervorragend für einen Workshop von 10 Personen. Das Schloss ist geräumig und durch den schönen Meditationsraum, auch bei schlechterem Wetter bestens geeignet. Die Verpflegung durch Jeanine hat bestens geklappt . Die zubereiteten Mahlzeiten waren immer frisch, und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Einfach lecker. Herzlichen Dank Sandra

Prachtige locatie

Wij mochten met twee gezinnen een week lang genieten van dit mooie verblijf. De slaapkamers zijn ruim, de keuken goed uitgerust en de omgeving is prachtig. Tevens zijn we erg goed en vriendelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw en -heer. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Tolles rustikales Schloss, ein Stück Geschichte

Das Schloss ist sehr ursprünglich. Es liegt sehr ruhig an wenig befahrenen Straßen, mitten zwischen Weinfeldern. Wim und Jeanine haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir könnten das ganze Grundstück nutzen und waren ungestört. 3 Familien ( 12 Personen) und zwei große Hunde hatten genug Platz. Der Pool war groß genug um sich an heißen Tagen abzukühlen. Alles was wir benötigten war vor Ort. Die Zimmer sind einfach mit antiken Möbeln eingerichtet. Alle Zimmer waren groß genug.

Wonderful and peaceful week

We had a wonderful week at La Partoucie. Jeanine and Wim, gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The castle has spacious and light rooms that are decorated with style. The peace and quietness of this beautiful location gave us the possibility the relax fully. We would highly recommend this place.
