"We wanted a place close to Lyon to use as a starting point for a tour of the Massif Central. La Rafiliere fit the bill perfectly. The countryside in April was gorgeous and the house was clean and comfortable. Our only disappointment was not meeting the donkeys!"

"An interesting property in extensive grounds shared by the Llamas and one deer. Out granddaughter loved the animals and all the artworks and decorations in the house. It was convenient for Central Lyon with a very efficient bus , train and tram service available. Patrik and Veronique were very friendly and helpful ."

"Had a lovely stay at the mill. The space is large, bright and airy. The surrounding area is picturesque and the mill is an interesting old building with lots of arts, craft and nature to enjoy. Bed was comfy, kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals, shower was great. Highly recommend a stay to disconnect from the fast pace of life and enjoy the slow life."

"I booked this place for my mother over the course of one week. During my mother’s stay, Marc and his family showed my mother and I so much hospitality and kindness, and treated us like family. As well as this, the public transport to Lyon’s city centre was a short bus ride from a nearby bus stop, which made commuting into the city much easier. Thank you again for the lovely stay. "Eye-wateringly expensive - taking advantage of the Pollutec event I expect (free market economy and all that). Due to there being no reception after hours, we had to deal with the security guard who was on duty, who was rude and unhelpful (his phone call much more important). Room was tiny, with pillows so thin they were almost see-through. Avoid at all costs, you will be disappointed."

"This motel style hotel was convenient but the room was very small, barely space to move around the beds. Twin bed differed greatly. One was fairly comfortable but the second was lumpy and every spring could be felt. Most concerning was the bath/shower. It was very difficult to climb in for us in our 70s. There was no non-slip mat or safety handles and the surface was very, very slippery."
