"Annie was a wonderful host The property simply the most charming and characterful of our entire Loire road trip. Wonderful pool with views located at the top of the cliff with magnificent views!- a real W facing sun-trap! Breakfast simply delicious. Safe secure gated parking in courtyard. We loved our night here! Made to feel so welcome. Great value too MISS THIS ONE AT YOUR PERIL Hoping to return one day! B&B as it should be done!♥️"

"Charming chateau — postcard of a stay in Loire Valley at a very reasonable price. Lovely atmosphere, tranquil property with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the countryside. Lots of charm. Staff was attentive and helpful. Dined at the restaurant one evening— a very good price for quality for the prefix meal. Location was perfect for day trips to various Chateaus."

"This is a complicated review, please read to the end.We were a party of 19, from 78 years old down to 1 year old. The children had a wonderful time, in the pool all day, playing in the grounds, and safe cycling along the lovely river. The adults spent many happy hours on the terrace, reading, eating chatting and drinking. It was supremely relaxing.The bedrooms were numerous and all had en suite.Gil, the concierge-property manager could not have been more friendly and helpful.However, the property is quite run down. The bathrooms varied in their functionality. The kitchen was inadequate for such a large property and the electrics were temperamental All that being said, we had a wonderful holiday and it was exceptional value for money.If you are a large multi-generational family group it may be the best venue. But it is imperfect. Four stars seems fair."

"Our three-night stay at Château de Nazelles in Amboise was truly an unforgettable experience! 🇫🇷 What makes this château so unique is that we actually stayed in a cave room carved into the hillside—a one-of-a-kind experience that felt like stepping back in time. Our room had its own private hot tub and sauna, making the combination of historic charm and modern comfort absolutely perfect. The château dates back to the 1500s, and staying here gave us the feeling of literally living in another era. From the beautifully maintained grounds to the incredible historic setting, every detail made the experience special. We also really appreciated how environmentally conscious the property is. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and responsive throughout our stay. We loved the honor system, which gave the property such a warm, relaxed, and personal feel. Another favorite was the upper-level area where we could sit, relax, and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding area. This was so much more than just a place to stay—it was an experience that felt like going back in time, while still enjoying wonderful modern amenities. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. If you’re visiting the Loire Valley and looking for something truly unique, Château de Nazelles is a gem! ❤️🇫🇷"
