Between Carcassonne and Revel, quiet (first neighbor 1km), in the countryside, in a landscape of wooded hills, the cottage dominates the plain Lauragaise and opens south, on the Pyrenees, near the Tarn and a few kilometers from the basin of Saint Ferréol. The whole building has been renovated with care and good taste, on the ground floor, the cottage has large openings and a bright interior space.

Ground floor: Large living room with large bay window enjoying a beautiful view of the open landscape, dining room with fitted kitchen, 2 bedrooms with bed 140 cm, for
two people. Shower room with toilets and toilets independent. Laundry room equipped with a washing machine.
Upstairs: attic room with 2 beds 90.
Parking in the property.
The owners live nearby, but without vis-à-vis.
All shops at 10 minutes.

Unfortunately not at all as we expected. It really is in the middle of nowhere - so dangerous hairy roads to negotiate meaning no chance of fresh morning croissants. As to returning in the dark after a night out - definitely not! The interior is nicely decorated but not very cosy with a very basic kitchen definitely designed by someone who doesn't cook. We left after only one night!

Tout a été parfait. La Maison fonctionnelle et restaurée avec goût. Vue magnífique sur les Pyrennees. Terrasse bien située et bien orientée. Barbecue. Des oies, des canards et des chevaux. En pleine nature!

Gîte dans un cadre superbe, avec une vue magnifique dans le salon. Tout est parfait : logement spacieux, propre et au calme. Un terrasse couverte permet de manger à l'extérieur quel que soit le temps. Logement à 11 minutes en voiture du Bassin de Saint Ferreol et à 20 minutes de Dourgne. Le propriétaire a été très accueillant. On a passé un excellent week-end dans ce gîte. On reviendra !

Très bon accueil de Serge, Gite Très calme, entouré d'animaux de la ferme , très agréable pour dormir, frais malgré la chaleur extérieure, excepté dans la mezzanine, pièce dans laquelle les enfants ont eu chaud. A proximité du lac de St Ferréol et de Revel, musées, marché . Il manque cependant des jeux extérieurs pour enfants, ça aurait été un plus!! Il manqu

Dans une ferme rénovée avec goût avec une superbe vue et au calme, idéal pour se reposer, nous avons évidemment fait de superbes balades dans cette magnifique région. Le propriétaire n'a pas son pareil pour nous relater quelques histoires avec ce bel accent du midi. Nous n'hésiterons pas à y retourner.

Le propriétaire est sympathique, efficace et attentionné. Le gîte est grand, très propre et confortable, doté de tout le nécessaire pour un excellent séjour. Il est très calme, et intégré à la nature environnante. Idéalement situé pour découvrir la merveilleuse Montagne Noire. Nous adorons et avons hâte de revenir ! Merci pour tout !

Le lieu est vraiment bien le gîte est très agréable seul bémol sur l’annonce du site il n’est pas précisé que l’on doit payer l’électricité en plus 40 euros pour deux nuits sans facture ! Relevé compteur propriétaire seul Paiement en liquide on est pris au dépourvu sachant que la caution est de 300 euro …

We chose Gîte Lestaplou for it's rural location and amazing views over the Lauragais valley and plains. The owner Serge lives in the extensive grounds but the gîte is completely secluded, private and not overlooked. The property is a stone farm building which has been well renovated and extended whilst retaining original features. Everything you need is included and the gîte is well appointed. Dogs are welcome but be advised that the grounds are not fenced. A fantastic outdoor dining area benefits from the shade of the sun and the spectacular view. Serge is a kind and helpful owner, we were left to our own devices for the duration of our stay which was perfect for us. It's 15 mins to nearest supermarket (in Revel) and around an hour to Toulouse, Carcassonne with many attractive villages and walks within easier reach. A really pleasant stay in a a great location.
