Fantastic location in a pleasant ski village
If you've come to Meribel to ski, the location of this apartment can't be beat. An easy ten-minute walk (slightly uphill going, downhill on the return) takes you to the ultra-convenient Golf chairlift right in the center of the village. This lift provides access to the rest of the ski mountain. Voila. There is a cluster of essential businesses in this same village square so you can get groceries, baked goods, ski equipment, etc. without getting in a car or shuttle bus. I rented my skis at the Skiset shop in the village. For a nominal fee I was able to leave the equipment on their premises at the end of each day of skiing so I had nothing to carry back and forth.
The only shortcoming to the apartment was the lack of basic amenities: dishwashing soap, paper towels, sponge, olive oil, etc., so we had to make some purchases that have not been necessary at other rentals in the past. Still, everything worked, the apartment was quiet and we had a good stay. Any time we had a question or issue the property managers responded promptly and constructively.
