"Although the hotel was rather dour from the outside, it was perfectly nice, if a little old-fashioned, inside. Particularly good was the food. The sirloin steak and kippers were the best we have ever eaten in a hotel or restaurant and are locally sourced. Service was very good and the room was very pleasant - the only negative being that the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Eddlewood Guest House is situated in a quiet area just a 5 minutes walk from the centre of Lerwick and about 1 km. from Tesco. "We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour.
