Lefkas great advantage is its geographical position. A bridge just 50 metres long separates the island from mainland Greece, a fact which greatly facilitates the visitor's direct and speedy approach via the Aktion airport and from other destinations.A quick walk or ride will get you to most of the island attractions, perfect for first time and returning visitors. Our boutique retreat is just by the marina so an evening stroll along the promenade is always an inviting option.
There are 5 alternative ways to come to the island of Lefkada:

1) by car:
The distance from Athens to Lefkada island is approximately 380 km via the bridge Charilaos Tricoupis in Rio-Antirio (near the town of Patra), about 3,5 hours . The distance from Thessaloniki to the island of Lefkada is approximately 400 km, about 2,5 hours.

2) by airplane:
From Spata (Athens) Eleftherios Venizelos international airport to Aktion next in the town of Preveza with direct and charter flights (from the UK, Holland, Germany, Italy, France etc.) every day. The duration of the flight from Athens is 1 hour. It is available a bus or taxi transfer from the airport of Aktion to Lefkada which is in a 20km distance.
3) by bus:
Another way to get to Lefkas is by intercity bus from Athens, which will take about 5 hours.
There is no public bus service nearby but you can bike or a car.
The house has a private parking space.
We are happy to arrange a taxi tranfer to and from the Aktio airport.
