We had a great time at the Rose Cottage. Quiet, central to all our travels, and the hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
There aren’t enough words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at the Red Rose Cottage. Set in the beautiful countryside of Maine, no better place to rest and relax. It was our first stay but not our last.
Was a great home base for us while visiting friends and family in the area. Enjoyed watching the all the deer, especially the does and fawns come through the yard on a regular basis.
We enjoyed the quite setting of this rustic get- away. The cottage was very clean with all of the amenities we needed. The communication with the owners was very easy and responsive.
The Rose Cottage was just right for my week away! I appreciated the size of the space, the full-ish kitchen, and the very luxurious bed. Distance wise, it’s a hike to Portland, but under an hour to southern Maine beaches. I loved my stay!
The Rose Cottage was adorable! I loved everything about it. There was a lovely welcome card from the hosts and they were very easy toCommunicate with and responded quickly to my questions. The weather was terrible at home on the day I was scheduled to check out and I mentioned to Rob I was going to stay on my sisters couch rather then drive home in a Nor Easter. He offered me the room for the night at a discounted rate since it was such short notice! I can’t tell you how much that meant to me! The room was so thoughtfully decorated, and stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable stay! I didn’t realize there wasn’t a TV, but that was ok because I finished a book I brought and started on another! It was actually very relaxing to just sit in the quiet and read. The room was clean and comfortable and I will definitely book again when I’m back in the area!
As a traveling single female who is also a remote worker, this place is a dream. It's a great small space that has everything you need, Rob and Kayleigh thought of all the details. Check in was easy, it was super clean and inviting, and I felt safe the entire time. I was there for about a month and Rob's communication through out the stay was great, always asking if I need supplies, clean linens, and offering suggestions if needed. Wifi was fast, lots of privacy, and friendly locals.
The location is perfect, making it easy to get to Boston, Salem, Portsmouth, Portland, Burlington, Stowe, and lots of other smaller towns. Even in the off season there is still tons to do.
Cannot recommend this place enough, whether for a weekend or a month, the hosts are wonderful people and I can't wait to go back.
Overall, we were very pleased, we will look into the availability of this listing on our next visit. It could use a room darkening shade next to the bed, the morning sun is quite bright and a non-skid shower mat.
Very pleased with this location and the owners. We have stayed here before and will stay here again! Kayleigh and Rob and great managers and after having been there for a month, I am super pleased with their attention to detail and wanting to make sure I was happy.
Was looking for a place that I could relax before having some major surgery where I didn't have to worry and found just that. Will be making it a yearly place. Thank you both for such a an amazing experience.
This is my 3 time staying here and it never disappoints.
Rob & Kayleigh are super nice and always so responsive.
I am so glad to have found this property and them!
My husband and I with our pups were super pleased to stay at this little cottage. Clean, quiet and very cozy! Being from Maine it was fun to see the Stephen King collection of books as an added bonus to our stay. Rob was very communicative and responsive to our questions. We loved it so much I'm going back for the whole month of Feb.
Our stay way wonderful and enjoyed the rental very much. Only down fall for me was the temp of 68 being the middle of the winter and from Florida I would of enjoyed 73 better. But that's me . I will be back!!! Thanks for all your kindness.
Comfortable environment, bed extremely difficult to get comfortable. Mattress not flexible at all. Vey unusual to have to brush your teeth at the kitchen sink. No television, hard to check news/weather etc. Shower stall very slippery. I have knee replacement, almost went down while showering. The environment is wonderful, just thought it should have a bathroom sink, instead of sauna. Loved the coffee there, that is a really nice touch. Thank you
While not isolated, this setting is totally private. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the chill of the morning. The interior is stunning. A beautiful get away.
