An authentic cedar log cabin with mountain and golf course views!

The cabin "Big Ponderosa" is nestled mountainside among large ponderosa pine trees. We're on the 13th tee and have a beautiful view of the golf course. This is a great location for outdoor activities and relaxation. It’s close enough to Leavenworth to enjoy festivities, yet far enough away to enjoy a peaceful mountain setting.

The cabin’s interior has unique arched doorways and large exposed beams. This is a great place to enjoy peaceful views, family-time and nature.

TWO LEVELS FOR PRIVACY AND COMFORT:

Families and couples say they enjoy that the cabin is spacious yet offers a cozy mountain vibe. Occupancy is limited to 6 people, including children due to local regulations.

The house is equipped with central air conditioning and has a main floor washer and dryer.

THE KITCHEN:

Our kitchen is well stocked and great for entertaining with granite counter tops and convenient breakfast bar area. There is a separate spacious dining room and propane grill on the deck.

VIEWS:

The outdoor deck and garden area is a guest favorite. Outdoor furniture and firepit table amenities are provided in the summer through Octoberfest.

PARKING:

You'll park inside the 2-car garage. A 3rd car can park in the space directly in front of the garage. (Sorry, no space for RVs or off-site parking.)

The driveway is very steep and shared with neighbors. The homes are well spaced apart and are separated by two detached garages. There is an EV charger / level 2 in the garage for electric vehicles.

PEAK SEASON TIP:

Peak seasons include summer, October and December. Consider alternate travel days or 3 nights to lessen your drive times on Fridays and Sundays.

WINTER MONTHS: (November 1 through March 31)

Ideal for skiers and snow adventurers! Cross-country ski trails, snow shoe trails and snow play are available right outside our back door.

DECEMBER:

The cabin is decorated for Christmas in December. Leavenworth is known for its Christmas lighting festival.

NAVIGATING THE SNOW:

The practical side of snow fun requires that you be experienced and comfortable at navigating snow conditions. If you are from out of state and not familiar with snow, you will likely find this location very challenging because of the steep roadways and often heavy snow conditions. We are also located outside of town, which will mean more drive time. However, we offer a quiet location, close to snow play, skiing and snow shoeing. Families really enjoy it.

ALL-WHEEL drive vehicles with traction tires are required for ALL WINTER reservations (4x4, SUV, Crossover, Subaru etc.)

The community roads, driveway and walkway is plowed regularly. Drivers should expect compact snow and ice. When it snows, it can take some time for crews to get to us. Keep in mind they must clear community roadways first. This means guests should be somewhat self-sufficient and utilize the snow removal equipment we have as needed. There are shovels and a snow blower in the garage for use.

The house is located on the upper level of the community mountain roadway, which means roadways are steep but we have great views.

• For the security of the property, external security cameras monitor/record (audio/video) the driveway and front entrance point.
• There is no cable TV. Smart TV's with apps and wireless internet only.
• The outdoor propane firepit table is available in the summer, weather permitting through Oktoberfest.
* For long term rentals (30 days or more) a lease is required.
