Within 5 minutes you can walk to authentic European-style shops, enjoy quaint Bavarian music, and visit our local breweries. Right across the street is a fully stocked local grocery store, Dan's. Leavenworth offers easy access to skiing, mountain bike trails, hiking trails, riverfront paths and an enchanting downtown stroll. Arrive by train or park the car in your private space (room for 4 vehicles plus on street parking) for the weekend. This turn-of-the-century home has old world charm and a cozy atmosphere that will take you away from your work-a-day lifestyle. Bergen Haus is a comfortable and welcoming home that has been enjoyed by many families throughout the years.

    The 5 bedrooms have comfortable queen sized beds with ample space for luggage and personal items. A large living room, and dining area provide plenty of room for the family get together or friends enjoying each other's company. Meals are easily prepared in the modern, well appointed kitchen. Family members can sit by the cozy fireplace and enjoy this retreat after an active day. For hot summer days we have added AC window units (in two of the bedrooms) plus ceiling fans throughout the home & bedrooms.

Lots of rooms and the whole place was even bigger than it seemed in the photos. Nice big kitchen that is well stocked with cooking and dining stuff. Location was spectacular and close to downtown. Loved it and when we come back we hope to book this house again

Great Family Location

Wonderful place to spend a family weekend. Allowed us to all hang out together watching movies, playing games and preparing meals to save money. Love Leavenworth but obviously can be expensive! Walking distance to everything this Bavarian Village has to offer without being in a hotel in the middle of it all!

Great home for large group

This was our second annual Christmas family weekend in Leavenworth. The house is located within walking distance to downtown and all the Christmas festivities. Beware the crowds downtown are getting so big that it's overwhelming this beautiful town and shops on weekends.

Perfect, as long as it isn't really hot in Leavenworth during your stay

We had a lovely time at this charming property, conveniently located, with plenty of space, enjoying meals and playing games together. Questions to the host before our stay were answered quickly. We appreciated that air con units were turned on before our arrival because it happened to be pretty hot in Leavenworth during our stay and only 2 bedrooms have air conditioning. The people who had rooms without air con upstairs unfortunately ended up sleeping on the couch and floor downstairs because it was too hot with only fans. With sharing this information though, we would recommend this property for a trip to Leavenworth.

Great spot for a group of people

We had a great time checking out Leavenworth while staying at this place. The place was large enough for our group and met all our needs. It was nice to have a lot of parking on the backside of the house as the front has parking meters. It was a nice little walk to the heart of Leavenworth so we never really drove after arriving. The grocery store was a short walk too. All and all we really enjoyed our stay!

Fabulous Leavenworth!

We had a fabulous stay at Bergen Haus! A chance to enjoy family time together and the great surroundings and scenery of Leavenworth. The house was lovely and a bit quirky, in character for its age. We enjoyed Icicle Brewing and Andreas Keller. My brother hiked Icicle Ridge and loved it. I loved Blackbird Island and waterfront park.

Spacious and Convenient

There was ample room for our family of 10, including adult children and 3 grandchildren and the location was ideal. It was so nice to be able to walk to town! It also was easy to walk to Dan's Market for groceries or around the corner to access the river trail. The kitchen was well equipped and we easily fit around the dining table. Everyone enjoyed cross-country skiing at Icicle River Trails, too. The host responded very quickly when we had questions. We were very pleased with our decision to stay in this comfortable and convenient home.

The only reason i gave a one star for communication with the property management is because there really wasn't any issues. The house very quiet and well equipped. Everyone had a good time. I would stay here again if I'm in Leavenworth.
