We enjoyed the privacy and tranquility. Having two bathrooms and pet friendly made it feel like home. We will definitely return to this slice of heaven!
The host was extremely responsive, welcoming, and friendly. She provided great ideas for things to do and see in the area. I grew up in Real county so I am very knowledgeable about the area. However, for those who did not, it would be extremely helpful. The cabin was even cuter and more spacious than in the pictures. It is in a really pretty area that feels secluded but yet is very convenient to Leakey which is about a 1/2 mile away. We saw lots of white tail deer including a large buck with nice antlers. I highly recommend this place!
My family stayed here and absolutely loved the unique home. Spacious, clean, and close proximity to so many activities. We will definitely return to this home.
The Grain Bin was clean, comfortable, cozy, and charming. Probably the most hassle-free check in/check out process of any VRBO we’ve stayed at. It definitely contributed to a wonderful trip to the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
They did a wonderful job of creating a beautiful and comfortable interior in a grain bin. Two very large 2-queen bed bedrooms with a shower ensuite in one and a tub ensuite in the other which is also accessible to the large living area. Also have a queen futon in the living area. Have a nice collections of games, books and DVD's to enjoy. Nice firepit. Great girls weekend location. You need to bring your own towel and I would recommend they add a rubber mat to the tub for safety but everything else you need is there.
The grain bin was so unique and bigger than it looks in the pictures. The beds were very comfortable! There were some games inside, books, DVD's, as well as a Roku you can sign into to watch your streaming services. The kids (ages 4, 8 and 13) all loved exploring around the property, playing corn hole and roasting marshmallows by the fire. There is a small local grocery store about 2 minutes away, but meat is pretty expensive there so I recommend at least bringing your own meat to cook, along with charcoal for the grill. We really enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. We had everything we needed for our short stay and the location is close enough to stores to pick up anything else that you may need. We enjoyed exploring the property and our morning walk by the creek. We did struggle to find the location based off of the GPS coordinates we were sent. After locating the property, we had no issues at all.
This property was very clean check in/out was so simple. We enjoyed the yard, painted rocks, visited by the fire pit and took walks to the creek. The house is so neat on the inside!!! We loved it and were sad to have it for only two nights! We recommend it for sure.
The pictures do not do this place justice! It far exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Rick, the host, was great with communication and flexibility. The house was spotless and included everything we needed for our stay. The grounds were beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely return!
This place is in town, very convenient to everything, yet feels like you’re out of town because of the surrounding trees. Beautiful property and accommodations. Very well thought out and comfortable with lots of space. Communication was excellent. Never had any problems but I felt that response would be quick if there was. You will not want to leave!
We absolutely loved our stay at the grain bin cabin! The property was immaculate and brimming with unique charm. Just a heads-up—don’t forget to bring your own towels. Temple and Rick were fantastic hosts, providing excellent communication throughout our stay. 10/10
This was our family's second time staying at the Grain Bin, and the property was exactly how we remembered -- a cozy, secluded, clean cabin with space to take a nature walk. The owners even texted that we were welcome to check in early!
The guys all marveled at the way they converted the grain bin to a wonderful two bedroom, two bathroom, huge great room house. The girls marveled at all the little touches that made it so special. The kids marveled at all the deer walking around, and the Smores on the fire pit! Quiet surroundings minutes from town. Extremely friendly hosts.
My family and I enjoyed our stay! This was our first time visiting Frío River at Garner State Park so we stayed in Leakey, TX. The host is very friendly and suggested near by areas to check out. I called the host a couple of times because I was a little lost and she was so nice about didn’t mind at all. She’s only a text away. There is a small grocery store near by for groceries. 10/10 recommend. My family and I are definitely staying here again in the future.
We stayed at the Grain Bin with the family and two dogs. We loved our stay and cannot wait to stay again! Our kids are grown, so we had all adults, and even with 9 of us sitting around the kitchen table laughing and talking, we had plenty of room. The beds are super comfortable and the home was well stocked with everything we needed. You will need to bring sheets and towels as stated in the home description. My husband enjoyed watching the wildlife and the kids spent a lot of time playing the porch and board games. The host is super responsive, and the home was very clean. Memories were made here! We highly recommend this property.
The pictures displayed on Vrbo do not do the grain-bin justice. The grain-bin is HUGE. One could easily place 3 queen size air-mattresses within the common area, and then add an additional queen air-mattress within each bedroom, and still have enough room to move about comfortably. Additionally, the grain-bin created a secluded and personable family opportunity to spend fun quality time together through a variety of games (scrabble, Jenga, horseshoes, ETC). Jenga was our favorite. Furthermore, we spent every day on the Frio river as the grain-bin is minutes from Garner and access to river from 350 and 348. Every evening, with exception to the last, we were dancing either at Neal’s, Garner, or the Leaky Inn. The last night we played horseshoes and Jenga after a long day on the river.
The hostesses were very much available to address concerns and quick to respond.
I cannot say enough about this grain-bin. It is decorated in such a fun way that it just invites it’s guest in to be engulfed in whatever they want from their “get away!” Waking up to a deer passing is a fun perk to mention as well.
