"My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was absolutely the perfect place! The cabin was equipped with everything you could need and the views were breathtaking. The climb up and down to the river is very steep so you'd need to be able to handle that to access the river from the property. John was great and very helpful. Our dogs also had a great time swimming in the river. It was deep enough in spots for them to swim but shallow enough for us to sit in chairs and enjoy the water. We definitely plan to return again for another visit."

"What a great place to stay. We needed a getaway from the city and this place was perfect. While the river is low directly behind the house, there is a wonderful swimming hole very close by. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. A new coffeepot that can be used with pods or with the carafe was great and very appreciated by our coffee drinking group. There is an amazingly well stocked grocery store not too far from the house."

"We love staying in homes like these that feel like home. This is definitely where you want to have your family reunion so the kids can stay in the bunkhouse, and there is so much to do! The hosts are very responsive at what I thought would be unreasonable hours. We will definitely be back next year for Frio Float Fest 2025!"

"Ash Creek Hideaway is a country cabin with classic southern front porch appeal and amazing wildlife but just minutes from Leaky with town convenience. The house is cute with three bedrooms, a cozy living area, a family sized table, and a well stocked kitchen. Situated just off 336, it a great entry point for any of the Sister rides. Or just sit on the porch or around the fire pit and enjoy the hummingbirds, deer, turkey, bird and squirrels. Highly recommend!"

"We loved our stay! The view from the back porch was phenomenal and we ended up spending most of our time there relaxing. The house was very clean, our dogs enjoyed the fenced yard, beds were comfortable. The property is just on the outskirts of town, so you feel like you’re away from it all but close enough to town to get your necessities. You’re minutes away from Garner State Park and some gorgeous drives. Definitely would stay again!"
