We had trouble checking in & called the property manager three times with no answer, nor did they ever call back or text to make sure we were able to check in successfully. The plumbing was terrible. "This hotel is dated but remains lovely. Beautifully maintained pool, lots of flowers. Be forewarned however, the extra price for resort fee is questionable at best. Three times I was told I could not get a ride because they were too busy. I had to request housecleaning one day more than 3 times, even though I was supposed to automatically receive this every day. I had to ask for coffee in the room twice because it wasn't replaced. The staff were very nice, and I have no complaints with them. The valet service, however, and the housecleaning service, not so much. You pay an extra $60 per day for parking your car there, and another "resort fee" for amenities - not sure what those really are when you can't get a ride to Lionshead, no coffee in the room. There was also an extremely loud air conditioning unit sticking out from the window which ran intermittently during the night (no more than 8 seconds at a time), on and off, on and off."

"The person at the desk in the lobby was able to hold my cold packs in a freezer overnight for me. Thought that was really nice. Got a bottle of some lovely wine with my room. It’s where I stay anytime I’m in Vail for a reason. All this plus hot tub u see the stars at night. I mean come one. Definitely recommend."

"The place is very nice and in a good location. For the price, the room should be cleaned every day, not every other day. Even on one of the cleaning days, we got no new tissue, so we had to go get that ourselves when we ran out. The breakfast is not good at all. On my first and only day trying it, I started with a bite of what turned out to be ice-cold powdered eggs. The coffee is good though. Guests are supposed to get $20 credit each night for items purchased from the market or drinks at the bar. One of our nights' credit was omitted, so I'm still waiting for that to be resolved. If you like dogs, lots of guests bring very nice friendly ones."
