"Owners were charming and friendly however the accommodation was quite the worst we have ever seen. Most of the work seemed to have been done as DIY but to appallingly low standards. Whilst efforts had been made to decorate no cleaning seemed to have been carried out. The cooker hob was still soiled from previous use and all light switches were unclean. "What a wonderful place to stay. A very well equipped home from home. There was nothing we needed as everything had been provided. "This is the cleanest property I have ever stayed in. The gite is a professional conversion of an old barn into an upside down house. Everything in the property is of a high standard. "We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a beautiful and quiet location. It is small, more like a restaurant with rooms and is very traditional in feel. It takes around 20-25 minutes to walk into the town of Mayenne along the river. Breakfast was good and we had dinner in the restaurant one night which was very good. Staff are polite and helpful. There is a small bar near to the reception area, although beer is expensive. It is a great place to sit outside with a drink, watching the wildlife on the river. The weather was hot when we stayed and being an older style property, there is no air conditioning or a fan. As it is such a quiet area, we were able to open the windows overnight. If visiting this area again, I would certainly stay here, although not in July or August, when it is likelier to be hotter than it was when we stayed"

We weren’t comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I won’t talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things.
