"Amazingly location. The overwater bungalows are stunning and an easy 5/5 and the pool is lovely. Unfortunately the food was an absolute let down. Rinse and repeat daily and not up to scratch. We didn’t bother to finish some of our meals. Also found the majority of the staff to be somewhat disinterested. At one point stood at the bar and had 4 staff walk past without acknowledging us. Would rate the overall experience 3/5. "

"Super friendly and absolutely amazing with a family. Toys and very accommodating. Breakfast is awesome and in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Close to market and supermarket and port. "

"Beautiful balcony views onto the bay, swimming pool, excellent value breakfast and small shop with grocery items. Bus stop connecting to all Noumea buses outside the hotel door as well as two large capacity car parks. Reception staff ever so helpful & fantastic if you want either assistance practicing your limited French or those with no knowledge of French. "

"Huge room with a really nice view, kids loved the pool. Building and rooms in need of some upkeep and the food at the hotel restaurant needs improvement."

"The team at the Chateau Royal were all so lovely and helpful, they really were amazing to deal with! The room was spacious and super clean, the only downside was the bed which was a little hard but they were able to add a topper that made it a little better. The pool was warm and inviting, but one of the best parts was the AquaSpa, just a phenomenal environment to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing! The steam room, sauna and massive spa pools were perfectly maintained and clean."

"A great location and friendly enough staff. Great bakery just done the road. Great waterfront walks and good swimming beaches. Rooms ok, love having a microwave and some crockery. Bathroom could do with an upgrade but overall would be happy to stay there again."
