The bungalow and cottage are located next to a larger house with animals roaming around which is a cool experience. The bungalow itself has the basics with a comfortable bed, but was a little buggy.
We enjoyed staying at this property and disconnecting from the outside world following a long year of graduate school. It is a charming place to getaway and enjoy the outdoors.
Very accommodating hosts, the farm is expansive with very friendly horses, chickens, goats and a pig. The dogs are understandably protective of their flock, which is a good thing out in the country! We stayed in the bungalow, which was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again!
We were between two locations and needed a place to stop in between for the evening and the next morning. The farm is beautiful and my wife loved the baby goats cavorting as she had her coffee on the porch before we headed out late morning the next day.
Second trip was as good as the first! The little cottage is perfect for anyone needing a little disconnect time. It's also manned by a wonderful welcoming menagerie of animals. One cat in particular made sure to stop by twice to check in and get cuddles. Gavin was as welcoming as the first time and it was very like going to my family's old homeplace in NC.
*my* phone had no cell signal at the house, but that was fine with me! The property is immaculate, with well-kept WIDE walking paths, and the little house is virtually soundproof to any external noise - including roosters :) The people and animals who live there are very friendly.
Don't be put off by "sofa bed", either - I never felt the frame of the sofa bed through the mattress.
Bring your favorite mug and some Keurig-type pods (and your favorite coffee fixings) and chill out. And, it's MAYBE 25 minutes to Lake Phoenix!
