The South Cabin and The Main House (Idyll Reserve | 1 and 2) were built with guests with limited mobility in mind; a step-less ramp from parking to main entrance, a flat floor plan, and wide hallways facilitate access. Although the kitchen and bathrooms are spacious, they do not have accessible modifications and may not be suitable for someone who is dependant upon a wheelchair. Please let us know directly if there are any other accommodations we can provide to make your stay more accessible and enjoyable.

The largest of our brand-new cabins, the Main House was built for entertaining. Perfect for a family or a group of friends. This cabin features a spacious great room with fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living and dining area and a gas fireplace. A large outdoor living area boasts a private hot tub, wood-burning fireplace, gas grill, dining and a cozy lounge area.
This cabin is suitable for guests with accessibility needs with a large parking area, zero entry ramp to door, and step-less entry to all interior areas of the cabin. There is also a large zero entry outdoor covered deck.

We recommend driving your own vehicle as ride-sharing and public transit are limited in our area. The driveway is gravel and offers parking space for 2 to 3 cars at each cabin. 2 EV chargers are located on the property and available for your use.

Cell coverage in the Hocking Hills region can be spotty. We recommend downloading the directions before heading out.

Propane for gas grill and firewood for fire pit provided. An espresso maker, french press, and drip coffee machine as well as premium coffee beans and ground coffee is provided. There is a pack-n-play with bedding, a high chair, and children's dishes and utensils stored in each cabin. This cabin does NOT allow pets, however well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Cabin, The Hillside, and The North (Idyll Reserve | 3, 4 & 5).

Such a beautiful place to stay!

We loved our time at Idyll Reserve Main House. Everything was beautifully decorated, felt clean and was incredibly inviting. The large windows helped us feel like we were up in the trees. Our kids enjoyed the built-in bunkbeds, and we all appreciated the hot tub at the end of long hiking days. We would love to stay again!

Beautiful

Beautiful house in woodsy area with lots to do - hiking, walks, nature. The house was amazing; clean, many amenities, cozy. We were in the area for a sports weekend in Athens (45 min drive) so we would have spent more time around the house if time allowed. It was a little long of a drive but we appreciated Laura’s hospitality and suggestions for things to do in the area!

A wonderful time in the Main House

We had a wonderful stay at the Main House. Everything was so thoughtful, from the modern design to the lighting, music, and wine that welcomed us upon arrival. The property is such a unique gem in a great location, and we certainly want to return to experience more. The EV charger was super convenient on our first big road trip. The hot tub was great to use in the cool evenings and mornings after a long day of travel and activities. The sound system filled the house with tunes. Even the bath towels were luxurious!

Perfection in every way

This was a stunning home for my wife and I to find the rest and quiet we were hoping for. Absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean, the little details provided for. It was everything we needed! Our only wish was that the hot tub had a privacy fence around it, but the covered porch with fireplace, the music system, the big windows that make it feel like you're outside even when you're not, it was more than we imagined it would be! Thank you, Idyll Reserve for an unforgettable getaway.

A total relaxing spa like retreat

My partner and I needed a relaxing getaway in nature but close to home. (Cleveland). We had a few requests. A super cool place, amazing views, quiet, private, spa bathroom, cozy beds, great kitchen to cook in and close to hiking. This Main House checked all the boxes. We plan to make a trip back out and stay at some of the other rentals and bring friends. The staff and management was so attentive!

Our stay at the modern Main Cabin was a dream. The meticulous interior design and “idyllic” setting created the perfect retreat. The cabin’s thoughtful amenities, including bunk beds, and a zip line, delighted our grandchildren. The outside fireplace and spacious deck added extra charm. Laura, our host, was incredibly responsive, and their staff delivered a larger cookware pot promptly upon request. This experience set a new standard for our vacation rentals-unmatched in every aspect.

Winter Retreat

We had the pleasure of staying at the Main House for a 3 day winter getaway with our dear friends. The luxury cabin exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful outdoor fireplace and hot tub to the cozy interior we loved every minute of our stay. The home is beautiful with a well stocked kitchen and every detail provided. Loved the e-manual that was provided with helpful information. We enjoyed our beautiful hikes that were within 10 minutes of our place and returned to cook delicious meals and relax for the rest of the evening. There is no need to leave this sanctuary! Enjoyed our complimentary coffee and gorgeous sunrises as well. The four of us agreed it will become our future annual winter retreat!

Main House

The house was designed with many unique features. This is one reason why we were attracted to the site. With having a background in design and my husband in architecture, we knew it was a place for us to experience. Our guests and family also loved the layout and felt very comfortable. We would love to go back, especially in the winter, but with a few exceptions. Please check on all trash, discovering dirty diapers was somewhat disappointing. When we arrived we were greeted by a lady and gentleman who was trying to fix the water pump since it was not working. I had to call the emergency number for someone to help because they just left. Luckily, we had water by the evening. Also, the dryer wasn’t working to dry our swimsuits. My suggestions when booking is to make sure everything is ready and in working order.

If you're looking for a place to stay that's like a home away from home but with a touch of luxury, then this rental is the perfect choice! We knew we were in for a treat from the moment we arrived. The stunning scenery surrounding the cabin set the tone for our entire stay, and we couldn't help but feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and completely spoiled from the very start. The space itself was everything we had hoped for and more. The luxurious furnishings and decor made us feel like we were staying in a five-star hotel, while the cozy touches and attention to detail made us feel like we were right at home. The fully-equipped kitchen had everything we needed to whip up delicious meals, and the spacious living areas were perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the outdoor hot tub. There's nothing quite like soaking in a hot tub under the stars, surrounded by nature! We also loved the spacious outdoor living space with a fireplace, couches, and dining table. The perfect spot to roast marshmallows and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location of the cabin couldn't have been better. We were just a short drive from some of the best hiking trails and scenic drives in the area, and we also loved exploring the charming nearby towns of Logan and Athens. All in all, I can't recommend this luxury rental highly enough. No detail was missed, from music upon our arrival to high-end amenities galore. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and luxurious escape in the heart of nature, this is the perfect choice!

Beyond our Expectations

The Main House was absolutely beautiful and way beyond our expectations. We enjoyed trying out the espresso machine in the mornings, saw several deer from the back patio, and loved using the hot tub after a long day of hiking & canoeing. Our family really enjoyed sitting outside to eat meals and enjoyed s'mores over the outdoor fireplace. The location can't be beat and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
