With soft golden sand and crystal blue water, Las Salinas is regarded as one of Ibiza’s most famous beaches. Surrounding the beach is a nature reserve and amazing pine forests. Las Salinas acquires its name from the large salt flats that are near the beach. These salt flats have harvested salt for hundreds of years and are definitely worth seeing. Due to the bay’s location, the sea is very salty and this makes staying afloat wonderfully easy for swimmers.
Spend the day relaxing at Las Salinas in preparation for a night of dancing and partying. On this beach the music is forever pumping and the swimsuits are tiny or totally optional. Las Salinas Beach is known to be a magnet for the rich and famous and many people come here to spot celebrities that they have just read about in the tabloids.

Despite being famous for its party scene, Las Salinas also offers the usual seaside activities. The beach is 1.6 kilometres (1 mile) long and on windy days the waves are perfect for body surfing and windsurfing. Head out on the deep blue water on a rented pedalo or catamaran, or go scuba diving. Explore the many secluded coves or take a scenic nature walk near the beach. Trek up to the old watchtower, once used to spot looting pirates.
Las Salinas Beach is a 10-minute drive south of Ibiza Town and is easily accessible by bus or taxi. If travelling in summer by car, make sure to come early to secure a parking space. Parasol and sun lounge rental is available at the beach, as well as showers to rinse off before hitting the clubs.
