"A wonderful remote setting in a beautiful building. The small village itself has a couple of restaurants and ice cream shops for a nice slow stroll.
The hotel had incredibly friendly and helpful staff who were always willing to help. Especially when my limited French ran out and we were able to switch to English too.
The room was very warm with no air conditioning. I would recommend mosquito spray if going in the summer months as they were quite prevalent in the area.
Unfortunately there...
"Charming hotel but definitely not for the English speaking traveler. Hotel staff (the night we checked in) was unable/unwilling to assist us in securing a taxi, so we ended up leaving after just one (out of our non-refundable two!) night. Overall, disappointed with our experience. "
"The meals were expensive and were the same every night. Would struggle if staying more than 3 nights due to limited choice. Outdoor pool was not heated so extremely cold for swimming Indoor pool was fabulous with adjoining sauna and steam rooms but would work out very expensive at 22 euros for 2 hours. Not something to afford every day of the stay!"
"What a wonderful historic building this is. Nice specious courtyard and pool area. Staff was so professional and friendly. Easy to store our bicycles in the parking garage.
Comfortable bedding and bathroom. Also the food in this restaurant is excellent. Don’t forget to try the soufflé it’s the best we have had ever! Breakfast great too. Would definitely stay here again as only 2 minute walk from the historic center. "
"We stayed just one night on a fleeting motorbike tour. Plenty of secure parking for the bike and no problem with the surface. Florence is welcoming and helpful, a very interesting and talented lady. She holds one of those, nowadays, rare qualities of creative vision. I have stayed in far too many soul less, clinical lodgings that I care to mention. This being the perfect antidote.
The whole house is rich with character and artistic flair.
It was a mill many years ago, but has been, and is still...

"No air-conditioning — while this is perhaps mentioned somewhere, we did not notice when booking. We spent two nights there, with daily highs around 40 Celsius. 4m ceilings and stone walls help somewhat, but still, not very comfortable.
The bathroom lacks shelving and counter space.
Lastly, we booked an Armagnac tour and experience, but apparently the person who does it is not working on Tuesdays. One of the staff members opened the place for us and explained a few things, but still again: why take a reservation for something you know you cannot do.
Of the nice things: The grounds are nice, we enjoyed walking through the vineyards in the mornings. The starters at the dinner were also exceptional. The staff were friendly and it felt like home. "
"Loved our room it was very tasteful and had an amazing shower. Loved the breakfast and the location. Right in the centre of Nérac and we enjoyed life music at a bar round the corner our first night. The second night we had an amazing meal at Domaine de Versailles again life music and dancing. Great friendly hotel and great area we will be back!"
