"I paid over $140 for a terrible room at a motel desperately in need for a facelift. I tried to be optimistic after arriving - only to find that most of the ugly vinyl flooring planks (horrific streaks of orange, brown and yellow) were peeling up at the corners - and the bathroom door was also peeling at the bottom. The room had cheap furniture and the garish orange accent wall behind the bed had chips in it exposing the white paint underneath. There was no shampoo or body lotion, the pillows were flat and uncomfortable. My back is still hurting from the hard mattress. Overall, it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Check-in person was polite and nice enough, but the process took some time because the property is transitioning ownership and the clerk had to manually enter my ID information into a system that was clearly clunky. Half of the vending machines in the lobby had signs saying they were out of order. I can't believe I paid that much for this ugly, uncomfortable, and poorly maintained room. I could not get myself to walk on the floor bare footed. The floor was so gross in color and condition I could not tell whether it was clean - but overall I suspect the cleaning crew did the best job possible. The shower was a cramped circular laminate unit reminiscent of a camper shower. Ewe. I actually considered sleeping in my car. Hotels.com called this a 6.something rating. That is ridiculous. I call it a 2 or 3. Shame on the chain for such a crappy dump."
