Last minute winner.
Booked last minute due to issues with our planned apartment and turned into a great choice. Went all inclusive too as it was excellent value for money. Room was clean, tidy and spacious and had 2 air con systems (bedroom and living room) that were both quiet. Food was good. Lots of variety and plenty of fresh fruit available. The a la carte restaurant was closed through covid which was a shame. Pool and pool bar busy but not too packed and also a pool for all inclusive plus members so quiet and secluded from the main pool. Overall a good stay and would recommend the hotel but the best deal is the all inclusive (although we were allowed to go all inclusive plus for half the price as we haggled due to the reduced facilities through covid).

Four star with the edges a little tarnished.
A mixed bag really!Our room needed updating but was very clean.Staff were either really pleasant-or not! Situated away from everything,but busses provided to nearest town,and hotel pleasant for to stay in all day.Local busses and taxis outside were great value. Restaurant was fine,food a bit “samey”,but the amount was incredible and extremely varied. Breakfast was five star. Entertainment and bar staff very friendly,but reception staff seemed a bit like they would rather be somewhere else.I would imagine if you liked to relax by the pool and eat a lot,it is very good value.But the reception staff need to cheer up!

Hotel very clean and bedroom excellent. Hotel was busy so the dining room was packed with people. Food, crockery and cutlery ran out and was not replaced quickly enough. Food quality and choice were good. Only the pool with sliders was heated. Plenty of sun loungers and lots of places to sit including quiet terraces. Nice playground for youngsters including mini golf. There was a good bus service from the hotel to the beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

ccide delivers always!
As usual good stay at occidental. Have stayed here many times. Gym now really good. Food improved with proper hot plates now available. Paid as and when to upgrade daily to AI for 30£ was worth it for lunches and drinks in eve. Gym card deposit was 10£ and well worth it. I love stay heee for 4 day breaks to recharge. Train and get sun.

my best holiday
Great place to stay the food was eccelent rooms were great with large balconys. If you like swimming the 50 meter pool is ideal. if you like bike riding its great too. There are shops located outside hotel where you can buy newspapers water and alcahol. Free bus ride into town every hour and free bus back if you want best to walk back take the beach front road for stunning views its about 30 minutes stroll. Stayed in block 4 room 105 it had great views of the sea.

2nd stay in five years, fantastic stay only criticism is cleanliness of communal toilets during day in pool area and in evenings at entertainment. Additionally we booked for four of us, the room was great however beds comprised of a great twin double bed, sofa bed in living area. The issue was the 4th bed was a pullout bed with can only be described as a topper as the mattress, we identified this and the staff arranged a 4th proper bed the same day- thank you.

This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel and both times I have been all inclusive. The hotel itself has not changed much on the interior since my last visit two years ago but the addition of an Olympic sized swimming pool is certainly an impressive one. The room itself was decorated to an ok standard it could do with a little bit of tlc to just update it. I had to ask for the shower head to replaced on our first day due to it not being very clean at all, which the hotel did without any trouble at all. The property is great for families and the staff are really great and friendly. They really helped to plan a fantastic surprise for my family. However my room was not great. It was extremely noisy due to be located on the main road. The front door and balcony doors were badly fitted meaning that due to the windy weather, the noise was unbearable when trying to sleep. The balcony doors were almost apart with the glass detached from the frame.

The first room we were given was old , dated , dark and not very clean so ok the 2nd day we were moved to a room in block 1 which was much brighter and cleaner. The pool area was lovey , no complaints regarding that. Although on the 2nd day we left our towels there when we went in to the town but we got delayed so when we got back they were gone and as much as we asked about them they were never found or returned to us .

Bathrooms need upgrading,. But otherwise great hotel , with great staff on all levels from pool staff to reception they all do a great job, food good ,facilities good, shuttle bus is regular, great value for money. Highly recommended.

Booked a cheap flight out and saw this great out of season deal on this hotel. Was a quick 3 night stay with my partner, great for running , swimming , cycling.

Excellent Service, the staff were excellent and helpful at all times. The food choice in the restaurant for Vegetarians ( and meat eaters) is excellent. The waitress services in the restaurant was outstanding. The amenities are excellent too. The only issue is that the swimming pool was cold! This is such a pity as the pool is great. The Olympic Pool is a must and is heated although there is a small charge for usage, Will return in the future.

We understand reading your review that apparently you were not properly informed about your All Inclusive type of meal plan upon reservation and would like to take the opportunity to point out that, as reported on our website, the All Inclusive is related to drinks, meals , snacks and the entertainment program; the room safes, the parking, the wellness center, the olympic pool and adults only pool bar are reported to be available against an extra charge. We are sorry for the discomfort regarding the pool temperature and despite the heating systems available at the moment in both the main area pool and Olympic pool, we want to thank you for the advice on the swimming pool and passed your comments to our technical service so that they can revise the situation in order to study how this can be improved We are always looking for different ways of achieving the guests´ full satisfaction and for this reason, we very much appreciate the feedback provided in the sports facilities available. My sixth stay in Costa Teguisa and was delighted when I arrived and realised this was the hotel I stayed in on my first visit, though under a different name (the hotel, not me!). The others were good, but this is definitely my favourite. Meal times were a treat, with such a wide choice of lovely food. As usual when I'm away, I was all-inclusive and, though I don't normally eat lunch, I just couldn't resist what was on offer here. One thing that particularly struck me was that there were always hot plates in the restaurant as, being fussy about starting eating with a hot plate of food, I am usually disappointed that I'm loading my food onto a stone cold plate. All staff in and around the hotel are cheerful and greet you with an 'ola' as you pass them and it doesn't seem at all like they're programmed to do so. It is quite a walk into the centre of the resort, but you'd know that if you read about the hotel beforehand. That didn't bother me in the slightest as I just love the walk along the 'paseo maritimo' (coastal walk) to the other end of the resort. For those who don't enjoy walking as much as I do, the hotel's free shuttle bus goes every hour to and from the centre. Brilliant place to stay!

Fantastic holiday due to occidental Hotel
It was a fantastic holiday the hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy and very spacious. All members of staff have fantastic customer service nothing is too much trouble entertainment staff were brilliant and so was the entertainment. Versace who led the entertainment during the day and in the evening was very friendly and you how to draw in the crowd to be a part of everything. The restaurant has plenty of choices for everybody there are local shops next door and reception staff are happy to help you get around

Excellent family hotel
Absolutely fantastic food, extremely clean, the facilities for families and children were excellent in the hotel (entertainment and pools). The hotel was in the middle of nowhere but there was a frequent bus service which might be a bit challenging for parents with buggies as the “busses” are actually coaches so the buggies have to go in the hold under the coach.

Excellent hotel especially if you're cycling. Very clean, all inclusive excellent with help yourself option at bar. Only negatives are, slow working coffee machines, dodgy tea pots which leak when poured and no toilet facilities near pool.

The pool temperature at the end of October was absolutely freezing. The temperature showing in reception was as low as 8c. It made it very difficult to spend any Period of time in it, which was supposedly one of the hotel's best features. Also, no bottles of water in bedroom after first night. Yet an all inclusive? Finally, wind whistled through our balcony doors most nights disturbing our little boy. Otherwise a very large hotel, friendly staff, pretty good food selection and well replenished in the restaurant. The pool snack bar was a bit underwhelming and cramped considering how much it gets used.

We stayed at this hotel during the first week of May and we were delighted with the value for money. The room was clean and comfortable; the food was plentiful and varied. The evening entertainment was amateurish at best, but wasn’t an issue for us during our stay. The staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. One are which could be improved upon was the allocation of tables when dining, rather than find your own. Unsupervised children at meal times were a hazard and a number of incidents for both staff and residents were narrowly avoided.
