Beautiful cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crest View cabin. It is a beautiful cabin, very well equipped and super comfortable. The deck is huge and great for grilling out or enjoying a good book. It was obvious the owners tried to think of everything for their guests. The location was super for our hiking and biking activities. We definitely plan to visit this cabin again.

Solid Mountain Home

The first thing we noticed was how solid this home is. Huge wood beams and timber walls. We felt cozy. House had everything we needed and was close enough to town. We were too tired from our race nearby to use the firepit or enjoy the deck (it was also a little rainy) but both would be great on a cool evening. Very nice stay.

This was our first time staying at this location, and we absolutely loved it! We truly fell in love with the place—it's hard to imagine a place with a better-stocked kitchen. We appreciated the great cookware, a wide variety of utensils and cutlery, glasses, spices, and even coffee beans. We especially enjoyed the large deck and outdoor patio set. The only small issues were a few dead flies in the upstairs bedrooms, which made it look a bit unkempt—like something out of "Lords of the Flies," with dead flies on the window sills and floors. It made us wonder when the upstairs area was last cleaned or inspected. A couple of friendly suggestions: adding TVs in the bedrooms, perhaps a tabletop fireplace to cozy up around the patio when enjoying the deck space, and installing a fence or border around the fire pit area for added safety where the ground drops off. We will be coming back for sure!!!

Great House

Whwn you walk into this home the inside was just jaw breaking. The owners of this property have taken great pride in decorating the property. The amenities they provide i have never seen in all of the properties we have stayed. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and every kitchen gadget that you could possibly need or use. The huge back porch is very comfortable with the seating. The beds are comfortable. Property was extremely clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed the wood fireplace with a fire each night. We did not use the huge fire pit but it looked very inviting. Quiet surroundings, in a private neighborhood. Plenty of deer to greet you. There is no need to bring books or games as there are bookshelves everywhere. There are plenty of ganes in the armoire to keep you satisfied, there is even a full size pac-man arcade game. There were only 4 of us traveling this time, but room for 2 or 3 more. Master has king size bed (if you are short like me, will take some flopping to get into the bed) the master bath has a walk in shower. The 2 bedrooms upstairs share a bath with a tub, one bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedroom has 2 queen size beds. The living room is very comfortable to sit, read or enjoy the fire. There is a half bath on the 1st floor, along with a full size washer and dryer. Will definitely return with other family members in the future. Mount Jefferson was a short drive as was Grayson Highlands.

Crest Cabin Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife & I stayed at Crest Cabin 11/11 - 11/14. The cabin is stunning, well-stocked, and has mountain views from almost every window. We really enjoyed the fireplace and serenity of the location. The mattress in the first floor Master bedroom was VERY firm, so keep that in mind if you have more than one couple staying. We opted to sleep in the queen bed upstairs, which was a little softer. I would recommend a tarp to go over the firewood outside. We arrived after Lansing got over 4" of rain and had a hard time getting the wood dry enough to burn in the fireplace. As another reviewer mentioned, an upgrade to the TV subscription would be nice so you could watch movie channels, but you do have access to Netflix, Prime Video, etc. if you already subscribe to any of those. Loved the home decor. We will definitely be back for another stay here soon!

Beautiful Cabin with Privacy

The cabin was immaculately clean. Working with the property manager was very easy. I was hoping for a better view of mountains, but I got those as we took several day trips. The property owner did mention they will be adding I believe a hot tub to the propery. It truly felt like you were at home because they made that way with personal touches of books, games, stocked kitchen, linens (tons of blankets and pillows) and I loved that they had a book everyone could leave ideas in to do in area!!!

Perfect Get-Away

Stunning home nestled in the mountains. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had a wonderful long weekend stay with our friends to include long hikes, relaxing on the deck, and fantastic family dinners from well equipped kitchen and gas grill. There was a small issue with refrigerator - the property management team advised in advance and provided fair options for resolution - communication was excellent. A fantastic experience from start to finish. We only wish we had more time. Thank you!

Restful, Peaceful Cabin in the Woods

The location is what made our stay special. It is a beautiful home in a beautiful location and gave us the rest, peace and quiet we were seeking. There were, however, a few minor problems with the condition when we arrived. The unit had not been cleaned properly upon arrival, and we had to take care of these things ourselves: 1) there were no sheets on any of the beds, and some beds did not even have sheets on top of them for us to put the sheets on ourselves, 2) the water heater was off and we didn't realize it until we went to take a shower and had no hot water (1 day after arrival), 3) There was no toilet paper in some of the bathrooms and we ran out after only one day (with two people), 4) there were dishes in the dish strainer that had not been put away, 5) There was no trash can liner in the trash cans upstairs, 6) the powder room toilet needed cleaning and had rust stains (I had to clean it myself), 7) the master mattress was as hard as a brick and made my hips hurt. (I had to sleep upstairs, while my husband stayed in the master, because the mattress was so uncomfortable.) We loved the accommodations except for the cleaning problems and master mattress condition, that was inconvenient. It is a beautiful place and we enjoyed the scenery and privacy a great deal.

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable cabin with upscale furniture, decor, kitchen supplies, games/art materials & toys necessary for a lovely vacation. Adult kids and one grandson visited us on the weekend enhancing our time in the mountains. A full and relaxing week in this lovely cabin makes leaving bittersweet. Beautiful North Carolina Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Crest Cabin was lovely. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you'll need for daily meals. The master bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The towels and sheets were very good quality. The driveway was difficult for motorcycles but it's short so we just loaded passengers at the end of the driveway. Queen bed in 2nd bedroom was found to be uncomfortable but that may just be personal preference. They even provided a dog bed and bowls. All in all, I thought it was wonderful and would recommend to friends.
