"The property was lovely. It had beautiful view and the location was very quiet. Well stocked with everything we needed. Our only issue was the hardness of the bed. We actually went and bought a topper and pillows that were more to our liking. Otherwise the property was perfect."

"We enjoyed a beautiful August week on Bailey Island. The kitchen had a nice mix of cooking and serving dishes, which made it easy to cook several meals during our stay; we also enjoyed eating out at Cooks, BIGS (Bailey Island General Store), and Sundrenched on the island. (Off island, we also enjoyed dining at Pomelia and Elevenses in Brunswick.) The walk to the Cedar Beach was pleasant, and we enjoyed hiking at Giant's Stairs. This was exactly the vacation week we were looking for.Two small frustrations: The TV does not have cable or an antenna, which stymied our attempts to watch a Red Sox-Yankees game on Fox; the TV offers a variety of shows and channels through Amazon FireTV. The shower curtain was also slightly too short, which made it hard to ensure that water didn't splash out; we used an extra towel to absorb it.But the rooms were comfortable and the view was wonderful."

"Outstanding cottage in the heart of Bailey Island! Everything was spotless upon arrival, and the check-in process was seamless. The owners were wonderfully helpful and made communication effortless. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to prepare meals.The back porch is the true highlight, overlooking the bay with absolutely breathtaking sunsets.The location proximity is also fantastic, just a 15 min walk to Cook’s Lobster House for dinner and 30 min walk to Lands end gift shop!Overall, I couldn’t recommend this property more. Don’t hesitate to book it!"

"This little cottage was just perfect for us. When I saw the photos on VRBO, it was the location on the water and the view that caused me to book. The reality is even betters. It’s hard to find a more beautiful spot in a more tranquil setting. Picture Casco Bay in all directions from your deck, with boats moored in the distance and fishing trollers and lobster boats slowly passing by. Sunsets, seagulls, sea air, and moonlight over water at night. It is pristine, unspoiled, and breathtaking. The cottage is small, but perfectly kept and stocked with new appliances and accoutremont. Everything you need. The bathroom is tiny, but they warn you. If you’re looking for luxury, this might not be your place. Rather, it is the perfect family retreat — cozy and charming and captivating. We could not have been happier. I have teenagers and even they were happy. We played so many games in the dining room at night, corn hole on the grass during the day, The beach is more pebbly than sandy, but that’s Maine, unless you want to drive an hour to Popham, which you should, since it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. This region - Harpswell, Bailey Island, Orr’s -,is truly a gem, unspoiled and slower paced. There’s not a lot around,, though it’s easy to take a day trip to Freeport or Portland or other places. If you enjoy the tranquility of reading a book and gazing out at the ocean and reconnecting with your family, I couldn’t think of a better place. We are very grateful."

"This home exceeded expectations, to the point where I took pictures to use for inspiration on my own home renovation. Bailey Island is not close to the major tourist sites but it is a welcome retreat after a long day in Portland and Boothbay. The two restaurants within walking distance were phenomenal. Sheri was very quick with responses to questions I had. I would love to return upon our next trip to Maine. "

"Very clean and comfortable home, with beautiful sunset views. Kitchen is exceptionally appointed. Gorgeous landscaping with cedar wax wings, gold finches and song sparrows flitting about. Lots of Adirondack seating for coastal views with your coffee and book. "
