Beautiful spacious gite in a lovely area

We had a wonderful stay in Lamballe, a charming historic town in close driving distance of the beautiful and spectacular coastline of Brittany. The gite was very comfortable, with three spacious bedrooms, a cosy livingroom and a beautiful garden. Our kids loved the swimming pool and table tennis, we loved the beautiful garden and the quiet surroundings.

Very much French chique charm. Not a modern hotel setting but a rural retreat in the french countryside. The pool is really great on warm days and the owners very helpful with a couple of small issues. They tried really hard to accommodate our complicated logistics as a large family group.

Très décevant

Voici pourquoi nous avons été très déçus et avons regretté d'avoir dépensé autant d'argent pour tant d'inconfort : - Pas de volets aux fenêtres, ni stores, ni rideaux occultants, mais de simples rideaux laissant passer le jour, - Chien des propriétaires en liberté, aboie toutes les nuits (de 23h à 7h), divague dans la propriété toute la journée (faisant ses besoins sur le terrain où nous pouvions jouer ou nous étendre), passe sur la terrasse du gîte faisant peur à notre enfant de 3 ans. Les animaux n’étant pas admis dans le cottage, nous pensions que les enfants pourraient jouer dehors librement et sans crainte, - Odeurs nauséabondes dans un des deux WC (dont le verrou dysfonctionnait), - Porte de la salle de bains ne ferme pas, - Murs de plusieurs pièces sales, - Moisissures sur joints du carrelage de la douche, - Lave-linge hors service, - Pas d'épingles à linge. Après réclamation, on nous en a généreusement apporté 8 (Nous étions 8 : 1 par personne...). A l'image du nombre de rouleaux de papier toilette (mentionné sur le site dans les "indispensables" avec le linge de lit, serviettes...) : 4 pour 2 semaines pour 8 personnes, - Propriétaire joignable uniquement sur téléphone professionnel de madame et aux horaires d’ouverture de son magasin (Pas de numéro de portable proposé). - Piscine non nettoyée en 2 semaines. Tout ceci ne justifie pas le prix de la location. Points positifs : Vélos à disposition et table de ping-pong sous abri.

Heerlijk huis met zwembad

Een hele fijne plek. De kinderen en wij hebben erg genoten van het zwembad. De tuin is mooi verzorgd met zon en schaduw. Huisje is keurig en alles volledig en netjes. Je kunt vrij gebruik maken van fietsen en de omgeving van het huisje is ook prachtig om te wandelen. Stadse voorzieningen zijn ook goed bereikbaar. Klein nadeel is dat de WiFi in ons deel van het huis niet werkte, het is te ver van de router. In de omgeving is veel te doen, de kust is goed aan te rijden. Wij hebben gewandeld bij Erquy, gekanood bij Le Guildo en Dinan en Moncontour bezocht.

Propriété bien équipée, les chambres sont spacieuses. L’environnement champêtre. Les animaux ont de l’espace; J’ai particulièrement apprécié la piscine chauffée et relativement grande ; seul bémol l’absence de wifi mais il ne nous a pas manqué plus que ça finalement ; en résumer nous avons passé un très bon séjour, découvert Lamballe et les magnifiques côtes d’Armor de Paimpol à Erqui en passant par le Val André , région magnifique

Fabulous place

We loved our stay at Les Cottages - perfect for a multi generational holiday as we were a group o 3 different generations. Our five year old loved the safe cycling around the lake - his Aunt who was training for a Triathlon loved all the great running tracks and Granny loved exploring Lamballe, the market and the coast and forts. All in all a great holiday and the facilities were perfect for us - a great layout and the pool and gardens lovely. We will be back !
