The baggage storage has been key for me as I’m out trekking for the next week. Trustworthy, kind folks. The breakfast also stands out - clean, calm — can’t wait to try to Swiss rosti upon my return. Excellent stay, definitely returning on future trips to Nepal. "

"There are lots of hotels to stay at in Kathmandu, but there is only one Shankar. Shankar has unmatched hospitality, with my personal favorite hosts Mr. Puri & Mr. Sharan who are both super stars. I always looked foward to chatting with them at meal times. Shankar has a mid-century modern motif, and it keeps the heritage of Nepal and Newari culture alive. Shankar also has an amazing garden to relax in and connect with nature after a long day in the city. "
