We are located on the upper White River between the Bull Shoals Dam and Gaston’s Resort, next to the #1 state park in Arkansas in the breathtaking Ozark Mountains, just 90 miles from Branson, Missouri. Blanchard Springs Caverns is about 90 minutes away. If you’ve never been in a cave—this is a beautiful experience. (Then it’s time to journey to the dock to catch that trophy fish.)
The lighted private secluded dock (for Rivercliff’s guests only) and the river are at the end of our long driveway. It is a refreshing walk anytime of the day. The water on the river stays a constant 47 degrees year around, so in the summer months you will be much cooler near the river so come in August to avoid the heat near your home. The White River is home to the wintering bald eagle. Expect to see Canadian geese floating down river and deer on our property,
We supply everything you need for a fantastic experience but your fishing gear, clothes, and consumables. You may rent our boats or kayaks (on property) OR bring your own. If fly fishing is your thing, we suggest using our private boat ramp where you can launch your own boat. Or you can just catch a trophy trout right off our secluded lighted private dock. Fishing is open year around, and the White River is a famous blue-ribbon trout fishing location written up in Field and Stream magazine and is noted for the world record brown trout of 34 lbs. We can provide fishing guides at your request.
Enjoy the morning fog that quickly dissipates on the river and the crystal clear clean waters of the White River. Fish, watch the wildlife, relax, rent a boat or kayak.
Forget something? No problem. Bull Shoals is 1.5 miles away, and Walmart is 13 miles away.
This is a fisherman’s cabin with an open floor plan. 190 FT from the river’s edge. Your raised deck has views of the White River as you drink your morning coffee.

Perfect Trip
We had a great stay at Rivercliff -Little Blue. Perfect weather - 80s and partly cloudy. Perfect hospitality- Lindsey was our point of contact and resort manager. She communicated very well and was always quick to respond to any of my questions. Jusdon was our fishing guide and it was AMAZING. We caught some big browns and our limit of good size rainbows. He is a fountain of knowledge on river trout and a passionate advocate for Brown Trout conservation. My boys and I learned a lot about fishing techniques and made some unforgettable memories. A perfect trip - Thank you.

Small but Mighty
Our family of 5 stayed here. I'll admit I was nervous sharing one bathroom, but it turned out just fine! The boys were only home to sleep and eat so it didn't matter that it's a small fishing house. They spent the rest of the time at the dock or on the river in our boat. They had a blast!

Plenty of other safer and better places...
I will never take my family back here! We had a really bad storm that knocked out power. No word from the property owner or property mngr checking on us. No one on site like we understood there would be. After MANY phone calls to reach someone for some help, John the property mngr was apparently at an art show and no help. I understand they don’t have control over weather but we are strangers to this place and trusting our safety to these people. They do have control over how they treat people using their facilities and let me tell you, we were not treated well. Ended up calling the power company myself after several hours of being in the dark, terrible storm, with 4 scared young kids and wife. Never heard back from the property owner or prop mngr to check on us. After 4 hours at nighttime, finally got some power to cook food and feed hungry scared kids. Power went out again during the night, still storming pretty bad, waking up kids, not much sleep that night. (Side note: be prepared to be nickel and dimed for everything, you want to play on the arcade: you have to pay for it. You want to play with the guitar: toss in some money for strings. Want to borrow a fishing rod, you’re paying for it. Felt like there may be a token machine to use the toilet!) After a terrible night, I ask for a late checkout bc no one slept. Told sorry we can’t do that. Also, would’ve been nice if someone would’ve at least checked in with us in the morning to see how we were d…

Anniversary/Fishing Trip
My husband had been wanting to fish for trout so we booked the blue house. It was exactly as described. He was able to walk to the dock and fish...even at night. He had booked a guide for a day and the guide picked him up right at the dock. The house had everything you would need. We ran to Mountain Home to Walmart and to eat one night. We went to Cotter. Both were easy drives if you're wanting to venture out. The only thing I will point out for people bringing dogs is the dog area is shared with another rental on the property. The people at the other rental always had their 2 little dogs in there so we didn't get to use it. It was fine for us because my dogs (Springer Spaniels) are well behaved and could be loose to potty or stretch their legs without the fear of them running off. The house was also on a long private road which eased my mind when the dogs were out but I was always with them no matter what. Overall it was a nice relaxing trip and we would do it again.

The Getaway....
The Property carpet was not clean, we pointed that out to John the property manager, the morning after our checkin, because we didn't want to be blamed for the pee stains on the carpet, that were bigger than our dogs. Sure enough we received a bill for carpet cleaning. We blocked off that area to our dogs. We should have been more assertive regarding previous damage. We did enjoy our time away.

Everything you need
The wife and I love trout fishing the white river. We’ve stayed in cabins from Allison to Bull Shoals, and wether fishing from the bank or in a boat it’s always a welcome break from the busy city. This a our first stay in the little blue cabin and it did not disappoint. Host is excellent and the cabin was great!

Great Cabin On The White River
Great, budget friendly cabin on the White River with private access to a good fishing pool (caught a 3 lb brown trout from the boat ramp) plus access to a 24-7 dock. The Little Blue cabin was perfect for my family of 3. Huge deck where we ate all our meals and a good fenced yard to let the puppy play. Will definitely return.

Great location and host/pet-friendly
My wife and I wanted a weekend getaway and had not been to the area before. The cabin we stayed in was clean and suitable for what we had in mind. The host was friendly and communicative without being intrusive. The location is pet-friendly and even featured a fenced play yard where we could potty our dogs. The fishing dock was a nice bonus and there is boat ramp on-site that also makes a great put-in for canoes or kayaks. We enjoyed seeing deer in the yard daily and the purple martins were fun to watch. It is important to note that the cabin isn't secluded and doesn't really have a view of the river, but it is within easy walking distance to the water and the location is relatively quiet. This would be a perfect set-up for a small group wanting to go fishing as the access is right there on the property. Although we tried Gaston's nearby and enjoyed the food and the river view, we had a better time at the old school-cool 178 Club restaurant (there's a bar and bowling alley on the back side). Ted was a great waiter and we sat next to the aquarium two nights in a row. We also found North Woods Antiques to be a winner if you are into vintage and antique fishing tackle, bamboo rods, outdoorsy decor, etc. The owner was very helpful and was tying flies when not chatting with customers. I hope to return soon with fishing buddies and try this place out again.

Not handicapped accessible
If you are elderly, large or handicapped this is not the property for you. The kitchen and bathroom are on a lower level and had no step or handrail. The bathroom is an extremely tight fit. The river is NOT viewable from the cabin unless you step away a few feet toward the second cabin. The dock is at the end of the road past another cabin and in front of another two story building under construction. It’s also quite a steep grade to and from the river. Other than this it was ok and Walt was a friendly fellow.
