Stargazer’s Luxury Retreat

For those who fancy a luxury escape;

Stargaze the Milky Way from your own luxury outdoor bath, then come inside to a toasty warm fire.
Enjoy the comfort of a king size bed with luxury linen, looking directly through to the lake and mountains beyond. In the bathroom, relax in our freestanding bath or enjoy a rain shower for two.
Take in unobstructed views of the lake and mountains from your lounge room by day, and cosy up on the couch or wool beanbag for a movie at night. This is paradise.

The lakefront is accessible from the front door (no exaggeration!) directly opposite the famous Church of the Good Shepherd and a few minutes stroll from the local cafes and attractions.
Star Gazers is the Black Cottage 18b.

Please use the marked gravel pathway provided. Should guests choose to take the ‘scenic route’ up the hill which is slippery and obstructed by falling apples, they must do so at their own risk.

You will have the place to yourselves, complete privacy assured.

All of Tekapo’s attractions are a mere stroll away

Parking is provided behind the cottage and a marked gravel pathway leads you up to the house. Guests must ascend 6-8 gravel steps.

Late check out fee is applied for late checkout past 11am ($40) as we lose our slot with cleaners.
1) Please note that Tekapo is a Dark Sky Reserve. As such, there are no street lights and the entire town is very dark after sunset. We encourage check in during daylight hours.

2) Please note coffee pods, tea and sugar are provided. Milk and other pantry items are not provided.

3) We regret to report that we have recently fallen victim to scammers. Please note that the property will be photographed by cleaning staff prior to your stay. This protects you, and us.

4) In making this booking you consent to a technician or cleaner accessing the property during your stay in the rare event of a maintenance issue.
