"Very nice place! There were only 2 of us, but it would have also been excellent for a large group. The host was very accommodating to our fragrance sensitivities, going above and beyond with offering more accomodations than I requested, which was greatly appreciated! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean, and well stocked with so much, including outdoor gear. Many games and activities were available."
"The property welcomes pets. The staff is very friendly. The lodge is about 10 minutes from Silver City. The Buckhorn Restaurant is nearby and quite good. The lodge rooms are dark and need attention but it sits in the woods and that makes it peaceful. "
"This was such a unique stay for us Louisianians. We enjoyed the open-air feel throughout the home and being so quietly tucked away in the wilderness of New Mexico. The home had no TVs so it helped us force our family into more focused family time by being together playing board games and just enjoying each other’s company. It was the perfect atmosphere for cooking together and having outdoor dinners and enjoying the sun setting over the mountains and the stars in the wide open skies. "
"This place was a total dump…disgusting and lacking in every sense. I still can’t believe I paid $100 for that room. First off…we got 2 towels in our room that sleeps 4. So my husband went to the front desk and asked for more. The office lady said she would go find some and bring them to us. She came to our room a few minutes later and gave us 2 towels. I went to use one and luckily I didn’t just throw it around me because it had SH*T smears all over it!! Seriously, literally poop all over it. My husband was furious and brought it back to her and she had some excuse about how the dryer was broken so she grabbed some towels from a different pile than the clean towels were usually kept after drying, and she must have grabbed a towel from the “stained” pile. OMG!?!?! And that wasn’t just a stain…that was fresh sh*t. She said she’d have to go find a new towel from another room. Also, the beds were rock hard and had nothing but 1 flimsy sheet. In the morning, breakfast was supposed to be at 7 a.m. with coffee at 6 a.m. There was a line of people at the lobby doors at 7:30 of people hoping to catch some breakfast and coffee before they hit the road. There were multiple phone numbers listed on the door to call for assistance,..but none of the numbers worked or “the voicemail box was full.” You have got to be kidding me. They had a lot of really annoyed customers standing there shaking their heads. So sh*t stained towels, no breakfast, hard beds with no covers…don’t stay here. "
"Great place for a relaxing stay. 40 minutes from Cliff Dwellings and 2 minutes from Lake Roberts. Perfect for 2 people and a dog. Clean and easy to check in."
"Fantastic property!!! The cabin has rustic charm and was exceptionally clean!!! If you want to get away from hustle and bustle, this is the place. It is fully-equipped and pet friendly. Our family had a great time. Spent the day fishing Lake Roberts Tue 3/17. Then, hiked Railroad Canyon Trail on Wed 3/18. There is also a really beautiful canyon trail that heads up right where the access road to the cabin meets the main road. The star gazing is second-to-none. The cabin has a big kitchen, good beds, a beautiful deck and many nice features. We really wished we could stay longer but have an all day drive back home and life is calling. Definitely recommended!!!"
Rustic modern cabin on a cliff face with amazing views.
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice stay, as always with Lauren as host. Quiet location, this is what we were looking for. Within walking distance of hiking, National Forest and Lake Roberts. Was even able to view a herd of mule deer out the dining area windows, twice!!"
