I want to keep this review short. It would be easy to write a 'book'. I enjoyed everything about my stay at the 'nook'. My host was beyond nice and helpful. The apt was clean and cozy. If I had a question, the host would get right back to me with help, tip or suggestion. If I head back that way, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to them first. 5 stars!!!

Mary was a wonderful and easy host. The unit is cozy and warm, perfect to come back to after days out hiking. Place was within easy walking distance of downtown and Mary was gracious and communicative about whatever we needed.

Great place to stay . Close to shopping , restaurants, downtown. Lake Placid is only 9 miles away , Whiteface Mt probably 20 very beautiful miles away.

Clean and cozy

We went to Saranac Lake for the weekend. Mary's place was a perfect fit. It was walkable to restaurants. Mary had a nice guide of places to check out. It was super clean. We will be back!

What a cozy, lovely place to stay!

The Nook is a real gem in Saranac Lake! My wife & I could have just stayed inside the entire time, it's that cozy! Mary & Kevin are the most friendly, hospitable hosts, ready to answer any questions, give recommendations of things to do, places to eat. We were more than thrilled to stay there, and we will be back!!

Perfect Adirondacks stay

We had a great time staying at the nook. Kevin and Mary were gracious hosts, had plenty of information about things to do nearby, and checked in with us occasionally without being overbearing. The apartment is nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need. It was cozy and comfortable. Not sure we'll ever get to this part of the US again, but if so I would gladly stay here a second time.

Great place in Saranac Lake

The Nook is as advertised. It's very clean, comfortable and a great location to walk to dinner and breakfast. It's also central for hiking or paddling. Very comfortable and Mary is great to work with.

Very Informative and pleasant owner, who lives upstairs about this unit. Very clean, unique and interesting. Location is excellent on west side of the Village making it easier to get around!

Great space and location in Saranac

Everything was great for our weeklong hiking and paddling vacation. The location is central for beautiful hikes for all abilities and fantastic lakes, ponds and rivers. The town is walking distance to get to great places for breakfast, dinners and pub food. The house is very clean and well equipped, with much more than we ever use. Mary and Kevin are great hosts and are very helpful, even with ideas for hiking and paddling trips. Great time in the Adirondacks and a great place to stay for the week.

IMMACULATE, LARGE APARTMENT

Mary and Kevin were wonderful hosts who were there when I needed help with the TV, while providing me a peaceful, quiet place to relax. The apartment was spacious and meticulously kept. I was looking for a place near the heart of town and not in the woods. This apartment was ideal!

Well appointed apartment that ideally located for all sorts of outdoor adventures. Just steps from the Adirondack rail trail to Lake Placid or Tupper Lake, plenty of nerby hiking including high peaks and lots of varied paddling opportunities. Great hosts mase for an easy stay.

Mary and Kevin are great hosts - helpful, knowledgeable, solicitous and unobtrusive. The Nook was spotlessly clean, and comfortable throughout. The very walkable RailTrail being adjacent is a huge plus, and generally getting around town by foot or car is not difficult (but it's the Adirondacks - there are hills). We were looking for just a few days to relax and got them at the Nook. We would stay there again.
