The Inn is always welcoming with an easy check in , comfy room and clean showers. I particulary like coffee available in the early wee hours for us that hike at dawn and the added breakfast treats are wonderful!! Truly a special place in the heart of the High peaks !! Thank you Trails end inn for such a delightful place !!

Great experience. Next time we will plan to be there longer than a few hours. Thanks
The property is in a Nice Quiet location, it is well maintained and the breakfast and packed lunches were excellent. They are doing a very good job complying with the current COVID-19 restrictions.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Wonderful no-frills place. Clean, reliable. Older and rustic furnishings, baths, etc. Great cookies and warm smiles on arrival. Good value.
I liked the communal tub/ shower honestly. It was adorable. And they made fresh baked cookies in the afternoon! The free breakfast is a bonus as well, not like Lake placid's hotels... I'd come here again for a nice fall mountain retreat!
It was our first B&B. We were the only ones there, so it was a great first experience. Home made cookies were awesome to greet you. Very clean! Friendly staff. Sitting by the wood stove, watching the snow come down, priceless! We will definitely use them again.
Super nice and friendly owners ! Beautiful and quiet place ! Will go back for sure ! Thanks a lot ! Jeanne and Alain from Montréal :)
P.s. Mount Marcy submit was wonderful !
This property offers tranquility at the end of a day of travel. It is welcoming and homey with patchwork quilts on the beds yet a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. There is privacy if you want it as well as a huge front porch for chatting with guests or reading. I felt like I was at my cottage not a hotel. I highly, highly recommend this little gem of a hotel.
Trail's End had very friendly staff members. The place was on a beaufiful setting and very serene.
It was an extremely hot week and having air conditioning would have been great.
Overall inn was nice and rustic, but the bed was very uncomfortable. Bed was so squeaky, sank in the middle. We were a party of 3 staying at the Catamount, but only had 2 towels for 2. Nobody there to ask for extra towel.
While the decor is outdated and the bed felt like it was 100 years old, it was overall clean and fine for a place to sleep. We were extremely disappointed that a “bed and breakfast” was not offering breakfast the weekend of our stay as we picked this inn over others because of this meal. Had we known, we would have stayed somewhere closer to our destination as that was the only reason we chose to stay here.
This is our 2nd time staying at the inn. The inn is charming and the first time we stayed in a room inside the main inn which was a 5 star and very nice. The hosts of the inn are great , so friendly . The room we had this time was outside the inn but an easy in and out to our car and very spacious , it also had a coffee machine which was great as we leave early in the morning for hikes. Again the friendly hosts and their children are always a delight as well as the easy check in. The only down side was the Gothic room was a bit old , the carpet and rusty radiators as well as the cracked tub , just needed a bit updating. The 2nd night we could hear people talking into the night as the walls are thin, other then that the Trails end inn is Great , we totally enjoyed sitting on the porch after our hike in the comfy chairs and chatting with Cocoa and heradorable little boy, truly a warm inviting place to enjoy the Keene valley !!!
We stayed here 2 years ago and liked it so when we came back to the area we booked again. The facility was very nice and the service was good. I think it is new ownership since last time.
Our daughter was participating in the Ironman so we had to go out VERY early. The lady their put out some items we could take for breakfast that day- very nice.
ONE THING TO BE AWARE OF- the listing on hotels.com was for a Bed and Breakfast, so we were surprised to see a charge for breakfast on our credit card! I called and spoke to the mgmt and they reversed the charge. They did say, however, that there was supposed to be something in our confirmation about that, but we never saw it. They said it was posted in the lobby, but we didn’t see it. I’m just pointing it out so new one is surprised.
