The hotel was very nice and so was the staff. It was also very clean. The selection for breakfast could have been a little better and the fridge was a little small but other than that it was a very nice place.

Loved our stay

Enjoyed our stay, service was very fast. Whenever we called, they were there within minutes for all of our needs. Our kids loved the pool and was pretty cool having a Starbucks inside of the hotel. Stayed for training in the Olympic village which was just minutes away.

Fantastic option, bed was extremely comfortable! Great room, shower was awesome, but the staff really made this experience a winner. Everyone we talked to was fantastic, helpful, pleasant and competent even when it was very busy. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Also, while it isn't necessarily in a walkable area, it is on the OTHER side of Lake Placid, closer to the ski jump, which makes it that much easier to hit the loj or head toward keene for hiking without having to battle the town traffic.

King bed very comfortable. I was surprised that there wasn’t a free breakfast, but there was a coffee maker in our room. Pool and spa were great temperatures. Room was clean except the bathroom floor needed a wiping down.

Pros - Good property located away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street. The staff was pleasant. Cons - I had booked for a breakfast buffet, but was surprised on arrival at the site that they don’t have one it’s just a la carte. And the front desk could be more prompt & active with the requests like housekeeping.

Marriott Gem in Placid

This property was in a great location. It's not near the lake but close to town and parking was included. The rooms are a little dated and will soon need updating, but the overall property is well maintained and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. A little peeling wallpaper in the bathroom was the only real eyesore. Overall, a great value.
