About this property
Bella’s bungalows on Lake June in Winter
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful spot. You are steps away from Lake June in Winter, an anglers and boating paradise. Soft white sandy bottom makes Lake June the premier lake in Highlands county. While Highlands is known for its variety of lakes, sandy bottom lakes are perfect for all water sports including swimming. Lake June is one of only three lakes in the county with this coveted title. The cottage is family friendly and filled with fun, whimsical decor and a Boho theme rich in color and worldly souvenirs collected in travels by the owners. Just hours from most major cities in Florida, it’s like stepping back in time to a more relaxed and simplistic way of life. The cottage is cooled by three AC wall units and multiple fans. It’s an open floor plan with two separate bedrooms a full kitchen with plenty of seating for families. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds. Bathroom has a walk-in shower. Full cable in Living room and the master bedroom is Roku only. Both tv’s have access to Disney plus, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. The couch can pull out to a sleeper sofa for two. It also has a wireless charging port that works for both apple and android phones. Guest access Guests have full access to cottage. There is a second cottage on property that is currently rented year round.

Wonderful

The host was very good about answering and getting back with us. The views on the lake at sunset were beautiful. It was a very relaxing setting and we would definitely stay again. Great place to go if you have a boat.
Any negativity came from our end. My gf ended up in a wreck about a week before our visit. She was with a broken ankle and in a boot. I'm a diabetic and had some blisters on my feet that ended up becoming sores. So any boating or water activities was out for us. However, we made the best of the situation and enjoyed our stay at this place. It was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Quaint usually has negative connotations, but I think it describes the place perfectly. It's old Florida charm. Small, but workable.

The place is fine- the Host is NOT
This little cottage is a fine place to stay- it's relatively clean, save for the ant infestation, and the general Lake House smell and sandiness. The place is a bit overstuffed with nicknacks and furniture, but is also equipped with lots of board games, lake towels, and plenty to entertain family and friends.
Our problems only came after check out; the Host sent a wildly aggressive message, accusing us of everything from rearranging the furniture in the house (we NEVER moved any of the furniture in the house), to theft of spices and kitchen items (I cannot express how wildly laughable the concept of our family lifting items from this place). The messaging didn't stop at one email- it has continued over the span of three days, multiple emails ranting about untruths. The bottom line seems to be that the host does not have eyes on the property on a regular basis, and has little to no idea what happens from one guest to the next, nor the condition of the place, or the neighbor's behavior on the property. Regardless, my advice is to rent at your own risk- it may be a fine time during your stay, but the bizarre harassment to follow, does not make it worthwhile.
We absolutely loved the cottage and property. It was just as described and everything was very clean. The host was extremely responsive and was available for anything we needed. Would love to stay here again!
We overall had a great time at this bungalow. Jeanine was very communicative. Pictures were accurate as portrayed online. The water/beach are where we hung out the most and it was very enjoyable.
Nice location on Lake June, just minutes from the boat ramp and local restaurants. House is nice for a weekend stay. It is a older home that has been refreshed. Property Manager was very communicative, no issues at all. Plan for the blind mosquitoes, not the properties fault just the area.

The cottage was ok and fairly clean. Bathroom could have used a little more attention in cleaning. The front yard appeared to have new sod laid recently which was quite long and scattered with cow manure and could have been cleaned up and mowed. Back yard does not look as good in real life as the photos. The fire pit was loaded with tree clippings and branches which were also scattered around it blocking access to the beach area. When you pay this much for a vacation getaway you'd expect a little more attention to detail.
