"Perfect quiet solitude is what we hoped for and received it beyond measure. The bed was the most comfortable sleeping experience I’ve had in years. As someone with severe back issues I always worry when we book a vacation. I didn’t need to worry at all. I haven’t slept this much in years. The icing on the cake was watching the meteor shower during its peak on the night of the 12th. With zero light pollution the night sky didn’t disappoint. It was an easy walk on the trail to the river. We saw an osprey in flight going down the river twice. We had on two occasions twin fawns with their momma visit the front grass area. Bird song all day was the only noise. Our host was so quick with reply’s it was almost instantly. The house/cabin was adorable. It was very clean and had everything we could need. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and were able to completely relax. We had a wonderful time just doing nothing. This exceeded all of our expectations for a much needed vacation from our busy lives. There were plenty of things to do in the area only a quick drive from the property. Whether you wanted to go hiking, kayaking, wine tasting, try craft beer, or hit the distilleries, it all is just a few minutes from the property. Thank you for providing us with the perfect relaxing vacation we so desperately needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent the property again."

"We absolutely loved our stay! The setting was beautiful, right by the stream, and our two Golden Retrievers had the best time. Even the drive up the mountain to the house was incredible—the stream running alongside the road made it so beautiful and memorable. We also really enjoyed checking out all the nearby breweries. Such a peaceful, beautiful mountain getaway, and a great place to bring the dogs. We would definitely come back!"

"We had a great stay! This place has all we could need. We were able to cook what we wanted with ease. We appreciated having a real coffee maker and not just a Keurig. Loved that it was pet friendly. I had a question for the owner and received a very quick response which was greatly appreciated. Overall, would recommend!"

"Our 2-BR condo was lovely. Everything was sparkling clean and the place was spacious for what we needed. What MADE it, though, was the VIEW which was spectacular! I felt we should have been pre-informed that there was no coffee for us to use. We could have easily brought some but didn’t know of its non-existence."

"House was great for our family vacation. An actual million dollar view. Family had a wonderful week enjoying the surrounding area with hiking, fishing and local distilleries.House is very well appointed and our host Aubrey was excellent with communication before and during our trip. One tip- Definitely suggest bringing as much food supply as possible to save some driving time to store."

"Our family had a wonderful time during our stay at Chestnut Springs. The home is beautiful and nestled in the hills. There was plenty of room for six adults and five kids ages eight to sixteen. The hot tub was a big hit as was the comfortable furnishings and the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dinnerware.Our host was very pleasant and quick to respond via email to my questions.We all enjoyed nearby Lake Monocan located at the Stoney Creek area of Wintergreen. We also enjoyed the two breweries/restaurants in nearby Nellyville.A great time was had by all!"

"The property was very clean and beautiful. It had some modern touches,yet felt rustic mountain. Plenty of room and comfortable. Beautiful views. Unfortunately it rained our three days,so we were unable to use the hot tub. But the rain on the surrounding trees sounded beautiful and the windows looking out gave a peaceful warm feeling. Gave us valuable family time. Hosts were great at communication."

"This place was perfect! The views were incredible, the location was ideal, and the house had everything we could need. On top of that, we had to reschedule our stay, and Tyler was incredibly understanding and helpful throughout the entire process. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. 10/10 would recommend staying here, and I honestly can't think of anything that could have made it better."
