"Staff were friendly and room was clean and spacious. Beds were ok (a little on the springy side). Restaurant was good but overpriced - beware they will charge 2€ for water and a 2€ pp service fee. There's not much to do around the area (to be expected being near the airport) so it's good for an overnight stay if you have a morning flight. Also, if you're walking to/from the terminals, catch the free airport bus to case nuove stop then walk about 10 mins to the hotel. There are some sections that don't have a sidewalk and at night I don't think it's well lit so be mindful of that."

"A destination hotel sitting above Varese with gardens overlooking Lake Varese below. We were warmly greeted at reception and having arrived in the evening after a flight and drive, we chose to eat in the restaurant. Good move - the food was very good but surpassed by our waiter's enthusiasm to make crepe suzette at our table, which was excellent and thoroughly entertaining. We stayed in May, so the pool was closed and left before exploring the area but glad we stayed here - charming, historic and whilst there are areas that require a little TLC, it adds to the character. Rooms were comfortable, well equipped and a nice bathroom."

"I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this place, but then the team work so hard, they deserve to be busy! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. From the moment we stepped into reception, we were treated like VIPs, the staff are without exception, incredible. Warm, friendly, professional- every part of the experience feels five star. The family spa is beautiful, the grounds are stunning, the views breathtaking, and the food and drink amazing. We loved waking up to the spectacular views, getting the most gorgeous breakfast and then wandering around the botanical gardens, seeing the donkeys and exploring. A day trip to Lugano is a must, as is Menaggio with the ferry over to Bellagio. Tremezzo and Gandria are also good trips. The hotel was really peaceful when we were there in early May, we didn’t use the outdoor pool as the weather was a bit changeable, but it’s such a great base from which to explore. It’s in a fairly remote spot, so you can’t really walk out of the hotel to other places but Lugano and Porlezza are both a short drive away and the restaurants onsite are great. Word of warning, if you fly in to malpensa airport and drive to the hotel, take the route through Switzerland and Lugano, not the east side of the lake. The roads are pretty treacherous, mountain side and winding and the Italians drive a bit crazy! We will be back to the PSM, we just loved it."

"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Osteria della Pista. The staff were kind, friendly, and very helpful throughout my stay. The hotel was clean, and the room I received was comfortable and well-maintained. The hotel is only about a 15-minute drive from Milan Malpensa Airport, which made it very convenient for my trip. Despite being close to the airport, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the area was, and I was not bothered by airplane noise at all. Breakfast was truly five-star quality, with a wide variety of fresh food choices. The pastries and desserts were especially delicious. I also appreciated that they served boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, wieners, and bacon, since I enjoy having a protein-rich breakfast in the morning. One thing I really appreciated was their free taxi shuttle service. It was a very thoughtful offering, and the driver was professional, friendly, and always on time for both the hotel pickup and the airport transfer. The hotel is also about a 10-minute walk from the train station and is conveniently located near shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. The area felt very safe and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax during my holiday. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Italy. Highly recommended! "

"Front desk staff and concierge were accommodating and friendly. One person was not so nice - ignored us standing there for quite a while even though no one else was around. But other than that, excellent! Spa was amazing! We enjoyed it every day. Would definitely stay here again!"
