"Fantastic location with the beach at your doorstep. Breakfast, lunch and dinner a two minute walk away. Perfect for our group of friends but certainly a family would love and enjoy the location to the beach and ocean baths."

"We loved our stay at Alex’s house - it was perfect for our family group of 14. There were several open family areas and the outdoor area was fantastic. There were lots of towels and other thoughtful touches that made for a wonderful stay. Alex was also terrific to deal with - helpful and responsive. Thank you Alex."

"Great outlook with floor to ceiling glass, spoilt by dirty windows. House is large, with great bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas. Kitchen iswell appointed, but lacked basic grocery items. The supplied sugar was lumpy and dirty, like a wet coffee spoon had been stirred through. Some minor work required to bring the property up to scratch - minor painting etc. Some otems need replacing- toaster, coffee machine, bathroom garbage bin amd toilet brush holder wtc. as they are old, dirty, rusty...

"Great house, warm and cosy, very comfortable beds. Location is great, walking distance to beach, bowling club and cafe just down the road. Just be careful of laundry window, don’t open it."

"From start to finish, there were no issues. Our hosts communicated everything we needed to know. We enjoyed the kayaks and pool table as well as the fire pit. The ducks were a bit of a nuisance, leaving a mess to clean up on the concrete. We thoroughly enjoyed our family reunion in such a comfortable house, the perfect place to relax."

"It all went well, apart from the way the extra cost for having a pet was revealed - felt like it was done slightly underhand. No reflection on the owner, was not his fault. But the home itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed, was nice to have breakfast included"

"This is a pretty cottage with easy access to the river for fishing and boating. The house is well equipped, and the beds were divinely comfortable! A few small problems: no detergent for washing up our 3 coffee cups, no bubble bath or tissues in the ensuite bathroom."

"Visited Newcastle to meet up with family. Tighes Hill was close to all the places I needed to be. It was a quiet location, easy to find, coffee shop across the road. The rooms in the Funky Terrace were a good size. Met up with the cleaner as we were leaving - she is lovely."
