Golf Trip

Wonderful trip

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfectly set up for our group as the younger kids slept upstairs and the older teens has their own space downstairs. Hot tub was a great perk. Also liked where it was located within the resort with a very easy drive to amenities. Will definitely choose this place for future visits!

Wonderful spot!

This place was everything we wanted- great location, all the amenities. To future visitors: You can turn the shower on by pulling on the end of the bath spout- took us a while to figure it out :)

Great home with amenities!

This home is excellent for medium to large families. We loved being able to use the amenities at the clubhouse. Having a hot tub at the house was also nice to come home to! We would definitely rent again!

Beach Golfers

8 golfers from the SC coast to mountains for a getaway trip. Home was comfortable, clean and fun. We are coming back again.

Family Get Together

Perfect place for family with children of all ages. Great amenities in Rumbling Bald with plenty to do. The game room with pool and foosball and other games provided a lot to do when it was raining. The internet signal was not strong enough to watch TV without a lot of buffering which was frustrating while trying to watch the Olympics - but we enjoyed other things instead.

Mountain lodge

Home was very clean, beds excellent all slept well. Make sure you have a hot spot as Wi-Fi goes in an out. You need to be able to drive curving mountain roads. Bring map as gps cuts out on back roads. But the home very nice resort excellent children loved the pool, amenities, we went on boat ride right at pier, next to great ice cream shop. Forth of July fireworks were outstanding. BEst equipped kitchen . Nice cold A/C. Loved the deck.

Great place!!

This house is great and can accommodate many guests with their own bed (we had 12). Great for those on a golf trip with several friends. Close to both Apple Valley and Bald Mountain courses. The listing says it only accommodates 6 cars but it’s more like 10-12.

Friend-Cation

This property fit our 3 families perfectly! 8 kids ages Infant through age 14 and six adults. The house allowed the kids space to spread out and enjoy themselves while giving the adults time to enjoy each others company. We loved having the amenities of Rumbling Bald Resort too. The space was clean, and the owner responsive with communication as well.

Fantastic Setup

We did a group of 8 guys for a golf getaway. The house is ideal for this type of trip, and we could have comfortably added another 4. We cooked/grilled dinner both nights with ease, watched multiple sporting events on multiple televisions, played pool, played cards, general camaraderie. Stu is a great host and wonderful communicator. This is a highly recommended lace to stay - for families or groups of friends. We'll be back!

Mystery trip

Our group of friends take a mystery trip each year. This year our mystery planners chose this location and cabin. It was perfect! If you are not comfortable driving steep hills or mountains, arrive during light hours of the day. Very tricky trying to find drive way at night if not familiar. Only recommendation is to add reflectors on either road or drive ways.

Beautiful home

Very nice home. We enjoyed our stay. A little tough to locate in the dark, but, may have just been me. The only issues we had were that the carpet in the master bedroom was still wet after it had been cleaned earlier in the week, we let the owner know this, and there were not enough lights on the decks esp. around the hot tub, unless we just couldn't locate them,so, it was difficult to see at night when out on the deck. There were ample beds and plenty of entertainment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and enjoyed some quality family time.

pretty nice

This is a nice house with some age. Door broke in one closet, looked to be an old break that finally let loose. We did watch movies with the kids. Late afternoon sun through the wall of windows made this hard to see the screen. Would be hard to put blinds up, but maybe move the tv closer to fireplace or hang with moveable bracket. Resort staff very nice and activity cards were a plus.

Pinnacle Peaks

Great house for our 12 multigenerational family members. Lots of space on three separate levels and two huge decks so you never felt on top of each other. Plenty of bedrooms with comfy beds. Kitchen well stocked with equipment -but loosely organized - so you had to hunt for what you needed - which was not a big problem. Very close to resort amenities. Large, clean hot tub was great! Kirby, the property manager, was extremely quick to respond to our request for extra supplies. She is very pleasant and super friendly! The only overall drawback is the internet connection is iffy in the Lake Lure area so be patient. We would definitely go back in the future!

Lots of Room to Spread Out

I'll start with the pros. The lodge is very open with lots of areas to spread everyone out. The game room downstairs was nice and the open floor plan on the main floor was perfect for our needs. The house was very clean, tidy and well laid out. Now the cons. The check in information was inaccurate. Particularly regarding what to do with trash. There were not extra blankets and the lodge is drafty. The towels needed fabric softener as the water is hard. The kitchen was good, but there were no large stock pots at all. I was fortunate to have packed a Ninja multi cooker so I was still able to make mashed potatoes for our group of 10 people. The largest pot in the kitchen was a 2 qt sauce pan. This is not what I would call a budget rental. It missed meeting my expectations by just a bit. Adding some throw blankets in the living room, having softer towels and making sure the kitchen is stocked with all of the necessities for feeding the number of people the lodge can accomodate would make a huge difference.

Great house for multifamily Spring Break trip . Very Nice Resort.

Beautiful home in a very nice upscale resort. We had a bit of trouble checking in (key pad # we were given was incorrect) and owner never answered his phone. The cleaning folks however were excellent, answered promptly and came to the rescue. They went above and beyond to help us out, I was impressed with their customer service. The house is perfect for a large crew, 3 families with teenagers fit comfortably with layout conducive to different bedtimes. The night owls and the morning people were able to do their own thing without bugging each other. Beds were generally comfortable, hot water heater was adequate for all of us, house was clean. Kitchen well stocked but not well organized, completely functional though for all our cooking needs. Blender works great. :-) Overall I would recommend this house and resort.
