Take in Lake Superior breathtaking views! Centrally located with a Sauna
Located on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, This cottage is only 400 feet from the mouth of the Tobacco River and located on 230' of Lake Superior lakeshore. Approximately 15 miles from Lake Linden and Calumet. The nearest village is Gay. The views, breezes and waves are simply fantastic.
This property has a spectacular view of the Lake from all the main living areas and bedrooms. The multi-level deck allows you to enjoy the summer breezes or the fall colors with family and friends.
The Lower level has laundry area, and a bunkroom Sauna and Pool table.
Upper level features beautiful red maple and cherry hardwood vaulted ceiling and open design from kitchen, dining and living room for great views of the lake and easy conversation. Master bedroom features a king bed and 180 degree view of the lake. Bathroom is a full bath including bathtub and shower.
Property is slightly elevated from the lake enhancing the lake view, but requires a few steps down to the Lake.
The Tobacco River is about 400 feet away. Old restored pier 500 feet the other way brings back memories of old copper mining days gone by.
If you revel in ATV, UTV or snowmobiling riding this place is a perfect launching point for exploring the Keweenaw. We are positioned across the street is from a major trail head. There is plenty of room for parking trailers and toy haulers. Trail 133 comes to the road for easy ride in and out access.
We have one Ring security camera between the overhead and the man door. It has audio and microphone capabilities. The main reason for it we find it necessary is to help guests with any issues in getting into to the cabin. The second reason is for snow removal during the winter months. There is a drastically different snow accumulation from one area of the Keweenaw to another.

Wonderful to have full house with amazing view, stable internet, laundry and most all you need so far up north. Location made touring easy so we got the most out of our time.
We really enjoyed our stay here, the location was great for traveling around the Keweenaw Peninsula. We really enjoyed the deck with the fire table and the sauna was a great bonus! It had everything we needed. Additionally the owners were very easy to get ahold of and very thorough in their communication. We would definitely stay here again!
Property mostly as advertised. Just a couple things that would elevate to excellent. Maybe having an instruction book for the property. This is the first one Ive stayed at that didn't- you have to use vrbo messages and then wait on answer. The views are great- bed was comfy. Internet connection was fantastic. Some of the furniture is pretty beat up- should be updated. And you are waaay out there here. Very secluded and nice, but make sure you bring everything you need. Closest store is 20 miles if you forget something. Overall good to excellent.
Beautiful views and location, sleeping arrangements are less than ideal for more than one adult couple, would be fine for singles or kids, but 3 tiered bunk beds for adult couples was unfortunate. That said the house was very nice, clean and comfortable.
We had a great stay at the lake house, and get it was even better than the listing pictures had to show. Misty and Jason were great communicators and the check-in process was a breeze. The views were fantastic, the place was clean, and the proximity to all things Keweenaw are 5/5. We loved having access to the sauna and the lake views. We would love to come up and stay here again.
The vistas were beautiful. Like superior spectacular. The property is essentially a one bedroom cabin with a bunkhouse that’s exclusively designed for children. I’m a 67 year-old 6 foot tall and 175 pound man and had to crawl into a bunk and roll out onto the floor to get out of it. The bunk system Affords 2 3 double size bed beds in a bunkbed configuration and in a 10 x 10 room. Perfect for a family with younger children, not so much for two guys on a hiking trip…. everything else was grand.
Place was nice with all the accommodations you would need while on vacation. The kitchen had pots and pans, plates, and the refrigerator/freezer had lots of room. Super comfy king sized bed and nice patio area to take in the views of the lake during the day and to stargaze at night!
What a treat this was for a mini girls trip for our friend who is having her first baby soon. Very pleasant accomodations, lots of games, and breathtaking views of lake superior. Will be back when the baby comes! Thanks to the great hosts!
Great place for a bunch of buds going to Bohemia. The bunk room is a bit different but we had a blast. It was a nice easy ride back and forth from Mt. Bohemia.
My family and i stayed here early November for a relaxing getaway. We really enjoyed the house. The lake was right in our backyard and was located in a good location to explore surrounding areas. We really appreciated the hosts suggestions on places to eat and things to do. The pasties from Louie's fresh market were amazing! We definitely recommend and hope to stay again!
